If aki is already here, put him straight into hooker or back-row, that's where we need him :cheer:

Ronaldson also did his bit on Friday when he came on with two really superb out of hand kicks & drove Leinster back when we needed to. Good player.

Worry that Willie is starting to become a bit of a 'sick note' ....probably unfair on my behalf but frustrating none the less.

Thought George did well also when he came in on Friday last which was great to see.

Apparently Mike McComish hasn't the favour of the new Ulster coach, but plays well in AIL, maybe we can have him back to the sportsground on a short term loan like Borlase or Gilsenan

I don't have a problem with Carty getting game time although I had hoped we'd see something different from him against Leinster. I think he will have to change it up against Glasgow, or start Ronaldson instead, who is fit and is stronger and should be better able to defend against their big centres. Carty hasn't been bad in that aspect but this is going to be the hardest game yet and probably a step up even from Leinster.

Jack is doing grand, Nikora has been playing AIL for the last two weeks and has not been setting the world alight. Ronaldson will need some more game time soon.

I completely agree that we should be keeping the faith with Carty. Don't think it was doing him too many favours alternating the kicks with Leader either.

Leader should only be used as a specialist long range kicker.

Could'nt agree more with this, Jack is still only 22. His percentages are only going to improve, and Pat obviously sees something in him. Trust in Lam.

I will say one thing about Carty though that has largely gone unmentioned, he did kick over the winning conversion which was no gimme. Hopefully he'll build some confidence off it.

I dont know tbh but he looks young. Having said that carty and ronaldson are top kickers at AIL level but so far have failed to bring it to pro12 and scott deasy is kicking the lights out for landsdowne but couldnt for munster in pro12 admitedly with limited opportunity. Its a pity parks wasnt kept as a kicking coach but its a problem area for connacht.

Jamie Gavin is the name and hes cool under pressure and deadly accurate from tee.

Age? At this stage Carty's waywardness in front of the posts is going to cost us a game sooner rather than later. Leaders shot was a more difficult one but we need a lad who can get 75-80% of kicks if we're to keep on a upward trajectory.

He played 6 for buccaneers against garryowen today and played well. Imo thats his level though. Cooney played for garryowen and didnt stand out. Leydon was at FB and had a decent game. Buccs won 25-22 in an exciting game if error ridden. Best player on pitch was garryowens 10. Jamie gavin is the name and hes cool under pressure and deadly accurate from tee.

He was around the Sportsground last night and didn't look particularly injured.
