Treviso (17:15) is the same day as Ireland v England (15:00) which might not help the attendance either.

The 5 day turnaround between the Treviso and Cardiff games is a bit of a concern and will test our squad depth between two massive must wins. At least Cardiff are in the same boat, playing Edinburgh at mid-day when we're playing the Italians.

If the branch was smart they'd invite fans in and have access all areas to go upstairs in the main terrace and the marquee to watch the game. have finger food etc

Guess this is what happens when you're in the top half of the table :)

Pretty happy with that. The big thing will be the refs. At the halfway stage in the season they look at who is in the top half of the table and give them to good ones. Now there's an incentive to stay as high as possible for as long as possible

Joe is the 1st Irish coach to trust Connacht that much

"Schmidt will be present at Connacht training in Galway today, giving him the chance to begin that process and check in on other young players who have muscled their way onto his radar – the likes of Dave Heffernan, Denis Buckley and Mick Kearney."

Could do without any endorsement of Henshaw especially from BOD himself. Impossibly difficult boots to fill and he's being set up for failure as he will be under a microscope as everyone from Ulster and Leinster will be waiting for him to slip up to advance the case for their man for the 13 jersey. I have full faith in Robbie, but he's still young yet and needs the space to make an error or two and know he won't immediately lose his chance.

Can't imagine Schmidt would appreciate a former player even O'Driscoll anointing his replacement which is probably why BOD actually stopped short of doing so. Though he did make the strongest case for Robbie to replace him.
