In truth I fully agree with him RE: there should be TMO at every Pro12 game.

Delighted with the polite applause that the officials got at the end of the game.
thought that is what McSharry was binned for?

We did win tho ! Hopefully the same respect will be shown throughout the season. Great day though, really enjoyable.

I would give up my enclosed Stand seat for the entire year to see that.
About the same chance a Elvis appearing as the half time act.

By all means have your opinion on the refs decisions, but dont shout abuse and if there are supporters doing so i think we should ask them to stop.
basic manners, we applaud the opposition off the pitch then we should do the same for the ref.

I wouldnt expect a crowd to agree with all my decisions and thats fine if you have a different opinion and youre vocal about it, just do it in the proper way.
After the game thats it and either clap the officials off the pitch or stay silent.
Its just basic manners.

While i often disagree with decisions against us I hate this craic of booing off refs. Its gotten us nowhere, and will continue to be unproductive.

It ain't always easy though, last year in the Leinster game when Goppreth and D'arcy crossed and forward passed for the try and all the super cocky Dubs were laughing at my fury and then the Heaslip incident in the same game !!!! Screaming for a penalty for offside at the end of the Sarries game arrrrgh....... It takes a lot of toungue biting and holding your breath sometimes, but when it's over, it's over. I have learned that we do not get the rub of the green, that normally goes to the bigger names. In general though we are not too bad, crowds should encourage a ref to give a decision to their team at home, but respect should always be shown, especially when the game is finished.

I certainly wouldn't be hanging around to clap the ref off, if that's what people want to do more power to them but I don't know any job where people are clapped out on their way home.
In fairness the treatment refs get at Connacht is very tame compared to the majority of the teams throughout Europe. It can always be improved but I'd hate to see us go too far down the sanctimonious route either.

Id like to see a campaign of sorts by the clan to eradicate this practice altogether.
Well said Shelflife. Remember as well that we are the ones standing beside the p***k's who are actually booing the ref. If enough of us stand together we can make them shut up and stop it. As in most areas of life, the silent majority, stay silent at the wrong times.
