Slightly odd Ulster have only offered him a 1 year contract? Hardly a vote of confidence in Willie but maybe there is an option to extend which hasn't been mentioned in the press release.

Remember reading Stephen Ferris' comments on Clive Ross saying he wasn't good enough for Ulster, I wonder how Willie will be received?

Potentially Pat sees the move freeing up some additional funds for recruitment?

Best of luck to Willie hope the move home works out for him.

Smart move for Leicester he'll do well there.

As for Faloon I'm disappointed in losing him. Wish him all the best. As us putting faith in Moloney to come through next season I don't think so maybe the season after but next season? Can't see it.

Don't you dare compare Oor Willie to He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named! :P

Did the same not happen with Niall O'Connor a couple of seasons ago?
I think this was very much a situation, where it was the best solution for all parties.
We felt he wasn't our first choice 7, and have young players coming through who we want to give game time
Ulster need a number 7, and Faloon has experience playing for Ulster previously
Faloon, wants to return home, and get more game time

(Possibly stupidly) optimistically, I dont think this will have any impact on Robbie

Terrible news. Was he not under contract for another year? Dangerous precedent being set if so. We'll never hear the end of the Henshaw to Leinster stories now.

Not that much. With Heenan/McKeon injury-free,I think Lam sees him as 3rd choice..

So once in a while one of these totally nonsense, made up, slow news day stories actually turns out to be true

Sorry to lose Willie alright.
The suggestion that he has more chance of first team rugby in Ulster than Connacht cheers me up a bit though.

Sorry to see Willie go. Always gave everything for us
Obviously Connacht and Ulster sat down and discussed everything, and we allowed him to go.
Would never begrudge Willie, and hope he gets a great reception next season when he comes back

Hope Jake can get a good run free of injuries

If he wants money : London Irish
If he wants HCup : Ulster
If he wants gametime : Connacht

For his career, the 3rd choice is actually the best, still young and inexperienced

Rumour has it that it's a three horse race for Bulter with Connacht, Ulster and London Irish the three after his signature.

Sean Dougall signed by Pau today, but Mannix denied for Butler. Expectations are well increasing for Connacht or Ulster

Fingers crossed it's us.

I actually can imagine a deal like a Faloon/Humphreys swap, with Butler coming from Munster.
