Win and we are 8th.

Harris-Wright out (dislocated shoulder), Nikora, Griffin, Kearney all taken off injured (no updates as yet).

Not going to happen I'm afraid, though I hope I'll be proven wrong.

The target we set here at start of season was 9 home wins. Disapointing season.

Did not hear the last 25 minutes of the game and I'm glad I didn't. A loss like that would have you reevaluating whether it was worth your time supporting the team. I thought they were turning things around in Feb and March, but it appears it was nothing more than a decent run against poor opposition and since then have shipped some ugly defeats with this one at home against a poor Cardiff side the worst of the bunch in many ways. There will need to be some soul searching done over the summer for those remaining with the team including management.

i dont usually write my after games thoughts as people are better then me at that but one thing i have major problems with is at the 70min mark, who turned the kick at goal. it was over at the far from me and since it wasnt on tv, i cant see if parks and muldoon spoke or who told the ref.
it was 40m out but parks was only on the pitch 20mins so could of had fresh enough legs.
would of been 4 points down and maybe mckeon wouldnt of got a yellow and who know what would of happened.
anyways wrong choice and not good enough.
we cant improve if we are losing to cardiff at home

In fairness Parks was only brought on that early because Nikora couldn't walk, he shipped a right belt to his leg. The likes of Buckley (scrum), Muldowney and especially McKeon (how he's regressed this year) need to shoulder plenty of the blame too. Real dumb and dumber show tonight, which was a shame as we had them beat.

It is not the fault of one person but when Dan Parks jogged on, my son, a Leinster supporter, turned to me and said " it's too early, ye've lost". This was at 15-3!

It was almost that the confidence ebbed from the team. Marmion did his best to keep it tight amount the forwards. For the second try, Dan actually ran backwards before he passed to Henshaw, ball is turned over and we know the rest. The Cardiff back 3, a very ordinary unit could not believe the kicks to them. We were lucky to get a bonus and they hadn't the confidence to go for theirs.

I was so disappointed for Gavin, he deserved a better finish, and performed ok also, but the team fell apart, no leadership on the pitch, stupid penalties and even more stupid yellows, especially the last one.

I was so angry my Leinster boys didn't even slag me on the drive home. I'm nearly over it now, God Bless Malbec.

Well that was a f##k up and a half. 15-3 up and really should have been out of sight and we contrive to throw it away and in the end were even lucky to get a losing bonus point. Connacht players need a long hard look at themselves after that one. There was no reason to lose that game, Cardiff were there to be beaten and should have been beaten well to put us in pole position for 7th. Now we are staring down the barrel of a 10th place finish and with it probably a much tougher draw in the Challenge Cup which will affect us with seeding for years into the future.

This losing mentality in the squad has to change. I hope the new players coming in can bring something because this can't continue as it is.

i assume mcsharry has been left out to accomadate Duffy, Murphy and Parks to run out for their last game in the Connacht jersey, anyway Duffy can cover any 3 positions in the back line.

strong enough looking Cardiff team.
