Actually I think that's what he did with his medical records before signing for us...

He went to Otago last I heard. Ring casualty in Dunedin hospital, they're bound to be familiar with him.

Love the idea but I think he is to light to be an 8

Heenan at 8 could be a great option. He has fantastic ball skills and carries well. A few more kgs and he would be a perfect fit. Fallon returning sooner will help our back row immensely.

Personally, I think Muldoon is wasted at 8. His best position is 6, and I dont think he's a better 8 than McKeon or George

Would like to see TOH given a run - either for Carr, Healy or Leader

unfort I think George falls into the "old stagers" for me, hasn't done much this season - Conneely doing well for Corinthians so could be give him a run at 6 with Muldoon at 8?

Wouldn't mind seeing young Conneely on the bench, been non-togged sub all year. Haven't been to many Buccaneers games this season, Do any of the young talent look ready for the step up or how is their current form. i.g Layden, Conor Finn, Kindregan or Qualter??

Seems everyone is picking up 4 issues that should feed into selection:
(1) size of pack and lack of go-forward ball.
(2) old stagers aren't up to it.
(3) where we finish in the league is irrelevant to where we play in Europe (no HEC/full HEC with us in Amlin based on league position/gelded HEC which we're in anyway) so we need to blood players.
(4) we want a win.... badly.

So assuming that White Marmion and Henshaw aren't available the next few weeks, are we thinking something roughly along the lines of the following for the Glasgow match?

Leader, Carr, Griffin, McSharry/Ronaldson, Healy, Carty, POD;
Wilkinson, Heffernan, Ah You, Kearney, Clarke, Browne/Muldoon, Heenan, Naoupu.

I would luv to see Pat Lam I would release a statement in regards to using the rest of the season to develop the likes of Carty, Leader, Ronaldson, Heffernan and Conneely regardless of results. Then have an overhaul of player past it or not up to scratch during the off season(Duffy, Parks, Murphyx2), back the younger lads n be aggressive in targeting players from other provinces with potential but have there paths blocked. The likes of CJ Sanders, Dave Calloghan, Ian Nagle and John Ryan at Munster. Dominic Ryan and Goodman at Leinster given availability in regards contracts or even loan deals. In my opinion second and third choice player at the other provinces are of higher quality of some of our starters. In the pack we are light weight especially in the back row. We have players who will give their all but don't pack a punch in attack and defense (Brown, Muldoon, Mckoen) Its alright having 1 players like this in the backrow if ur front five are animals (ours aren't) but we have 2. I don't want to sound completely negative but I know I would go and support the team even if results were bad for the rest of the season but I saw real intent to build & test young talent for next season.

Combining that with the possibility of being without Marmion and Henshaw and I will expect just 1 win from the 4. I'm not saying they should give up or cannot win with players like Carty or Leader in the side I'm just trying to keep my expectations in line after Saturday. At this stage I would be happy to see a string of 4 games where first up tackles are made, silly penalties are cut out, passes go to hand and they demonstrate some creativity in the backline or at least take the ball on at pace rather than standing still. In other words work on getting the basics right.

Marmion is clearly the number 2 scrum half in Ireland. However I can't see him going from number 5 to number 2 in the space of a few months in Schimdt's head.

JS made a real balls of not blooding Marmion in the Autumn and I can't see him making the 23 for the AI.

Henshaw may make the 23 and JS is a big fan.

I'm a stuck record when it comes to this. Walking out the gate after every home game the past two years I say it all the time
