Only thing that matters is that TOH wasn't on the pitch when it mattered, Lam seems to be hell bent on forcing some of our best young players out of the door, add Buckley, Kearney, Griffin and we have a real problem.

Have seen nothing this season that makes me think Lam has the feel for the job or the ability to deliver, normally I'd agree with those that say give him a year but I've seen enough already!

Ok, so we have witness testimony on the whereabouts of TOH on the night of the Scarlet's match, but so far he has no alibi for the afternoon when JFK was shot.

We need to get to the bottom of this. Or at the very least drag it out to the point where it becomes painful.

I will break it down for you so that you can understand it.

TOH was 24th man for Connacht, this means that he warms up and goes through the pre match process with the squad just in case there are any last minute injuries.

As they can only name a 23 man squad (its not like mini rugby where you can have 20 subs) and there were no injuries TOH is free to go to Buccs and play in the game.

He left just after KO and was spotted walking down the road by Swiftforprez at 5.10, he then made his way to Buccs where he played for them.

Understand now?

ya gotta love logic :cheer:

So both of you are right.

So he played 24 for Connacht which finished approx 6.50 and managed to appear for buccs 40 minutes later in athlone. Ya got to love that. :-) . only noticed him in one location but there was this guy with a bag that looked awful like bod in athlone

Hear you. Its a mad conspiracy. Or tiernan is simply a quicker runner than we have all given him credit for and ran all the way to athlone in pronto time, played a good game and ran back to galway:-) .

That was, mud, awful, shit!
as borders just said, there is no point building up that scarlets team. 10 players gone= full connacht team should win! i honestly dont know where to start.
all ill say is players need to look at themselfs. we have good team but shite result and embarrising to be bottom. that team last night was strong enough to win. it wasnt Lam's fault passes were misplaced or tackles missed!

I was 15 mins late coming in and while walking up college road, at 5.10, TOH is strolling down the road, bag on him and chatting on the mobile. He must of seen backup and left when every player got through warm up. you'd think he'd stay there lookin at his team mates play!

next year i could see TOH, Griffin and Buckley gone! Yes buckley has a year left but that can be cancelled if both agree and he finds a team. If Pat Lam has already made up his mind about him, why not let him leave and save us few €€€€. after all, he's not in the Heineken cup squad. He has been fit, Locks has moved over to cover for him.

EDIT TO ADD: apart from the 2 games we won this season out of 10, in both HEC and rabo, have come vs ZEBRE. last match we won not being zebre was on 12 april vs Edinburgh.

Half time, there was not even a reason to stay. And this is such a shame. Sears has built so much for connacht. The quality is there to be seen. It does seem that there is an inability to select a unit that works. It really is such a shame. Really thought this year that many players would rise to the occasion. Marmion, henshaw, griffin Not surprised in other areas where failures have been seen.

Even George hook would have figured many of our issues. And if after yesterday it still isn't obvious then you just hold your hands up. Toh has to go in a full back, Carr (please don't put Carr in at 14 because he spends his time looking at himself in the mirror rather than passing to other players on his team).

Craic Head wrote: It was disappointing to lose, but Scarlett's are a good side, even with the missing players, we also have injuries galore and can never seem to have a full squad to choose from.

I would add a note that I thought young Masterson did really well for a debut. Tough lad and well done to him.

I agree with you that Lam should be judged at the end of the season but we can't keep building up every team we play against. That Scarlets side in the main were average. I'm all for giving full respect to teams but people were building up Glasgow minus a number of players a few weeks back and Dragons went away last Friday and stuffed them. Saracens put 51 points on Scarlets last week.

Injuries are most definitely not an excuse last night. We had most of our injured players back. The only players we were missing (through injury) last night worth talking about were Dannie Poolman, Willie Faloon, Andrew Browne and John Muldoon. Most teams will be missing that amount and more through injury alone. On top of that the Scarlets squad was well battered having played LV Cup the last two weeks and having their internationals missing.

After it went to 6-0 I honestly thought we would run out comfortable enough winners. They looked there for the taking and it looked like we'd get in behind them on enough occasions to score a few tries. We found ourselves in a 15 point deficit through outright carelessness in my view.

If Connacht want to get respect we need to earn it by winning these type of games. Glorious performances against the big teams are all well and good but these bread and butter games are what defines our season.

Brought in Heenan, brought in Clarke, muldowney a choice selection, McKeon in the background. Issue resides in a back line that has many useful players but no cohesion. Henshaw as a pro player would be nice but to be an international you have to play in a unit for years. He will make a great player in time. First he has to be a great player for Connacht. And maybe it might start if Connacht played as a unit. Marmion was shockingly slow all night, Gavin was painful all night (was that for the 10th time in a row or does he have to set a record). Anyway. Went home and decided enough. Utter pants
