The season before Parks arrived, I felt we lost a number of games by relatively narrow margins, having missed penalties and conversions that would have won us the game or at least got us a losing bonus point had they been scored.

When we signed Parks, I felt that he would address that problem, and would help us to edge tight games that we otherwise would have lost. I'm not sure that he made as big an impact as I had hoped in that regard, but I do feel much more confident when he lines up a kick than I have done for a number of years following Connacht. Ironically, I felt that Keatley was very unreliable for us, but he seems much more assured kicking for Munster :evil: .

What is certain is, that if we don't stop trying to play the entire game in our own half, and if we don't stop taking tap penalties in our half and running the ball, then regardless of who is number 10, they aren't going to get the chance to show what they can do with the boot.

Parks is a good place kicker, and he can find decent touch from anywhere on the park, but our tactics seem to be to ignore these aspects of the game at the moment.

This was a concern which wasn't really addressed and was something that worried me as even if Nikora was fit he's not good enough to be out-half at this level and Ronaldson and Carty have a long way to go. Having said that I don't think Dan is suited to our style at present and Lam will need to seriously look now at compromising a bit to get the team competitive.

Looks like his days are numbered Rodney has had his chance and is not up to this level we are excellent at certain positions but too weak in others with no game plan, worrying times
