The Dáil Bar is a bar in Galway. They have sponsored us for the year, so that includes the website logo and being nominated as our pub for watching the away matches. In return they give us money to run the club, guarantee to show all televised Connacht games live with full sound on their 60" TVs upstairs, and to hold a seating area for Connacht fans to watch it. Of course we will also be cross-promoting each others' events and such.

Good to know thanks Diom

tomsauce ronaldson deserves a chance he definitely cannot be as bad as dan defensively and i really think he is the answer in the long term from what ive seen him in ail and now the cameos and pre season and it hasnt fazed him

lets give him a go

dan is on a wad of money he hasn't justified it this season

Well I think there's a decent chance you may get your wish. I think Lam was unhappy with Parks' defense last week. His "trusting our system" remark seemed to be aimed at Parks.

It took us a long time to get a decent outhalf. We've had a few disasters...

I partially agree with you but if we don't start Ronaldson now, when would suit? Because our next games in the league are Treviso away, Leinster away and Glasgow at home. Plus the small matter of the heineken cup sticks its nose in at some point in there.

There's no easy game to start Ronaldson on the horizon, and as Nikora is injured Ronaldson is our most experienced back up. We can't wait two more months to give Ronaldson his first start and Parks needs some rest in that time period too.

While wing is certainly an easier position to step up to Healy has done a great job, I say we trust our other AIL signing (the top player in the league for last year after all), put out the strongest pack possible and give him a shot.

Nice! I thought I sounded more like Trap.

Seriously though I really think some people on here are saying we should be playing people they've hardly ever seen play. Anyway, let's hope for better on Saturday.

suggest you watch game again and see the way he positions his body over a ruck

Yes I was watching it and he was far from man of the match as far as I'm concerned. In fact ineffectually hitting the rucks is where I'd say we lost the game. The Ulster centres and backrow blew ours off the pitch.

Gutted for Willie, huge, huge loss and our only natural 7. I still think Brownie is the best 6 we have. George has been disappointing for a while now so I'd definitely go with McKeon at 8 when he's fit again. I haven't been massively impressed by Heenan so far but I know it's early and it's obvious he has something about him so looking forward to seeing more of him. Fifita too, he certainly has the build for a ball-carrying backrower.

rossie wrote: Faloon is a big loss. Will give Heenan a run in 7 jersey though and willie may not get it back similar to Duffy at 15. Coneely will get a chance now too so hopefully he makes the step up.

Ronaldson getting a start soon?! Don't know enough about him to comment but its a big ask. Hopefully he makes it easily but the pack selection and performance will be crucial to him.

Nobody knows enough Ronaldson to be advocating he become our starting out-half. He has never started a competitive professional game in his life as far as I know.
