He was a mixed bag with him not doing well in his first season but I think he got a handle on it in his second and if we were able to keep him he'd improve even more. Overall he added something different than any other winger we had and broke the gain line more than the rest so a success in my book.

As we come towards the reported end of Fetu's Connacht career, can we have a grown up discussion about whether Fetu was a success or failure for Connacht?

In the Rabo this season, Fetu has started 11 games and come off the bench a further 3 times and scored 4 tries

Take into account, we have no much money he has earned playing for Connacht, so we cant tell if he's been stealing a living, or playing above his pay grade.

I'll accept he has improved this season, when compared to last year, but I dont remember ever seeing him take control of a game, or really be the stand out player.

Considering there was general excitement about his signing, I think he has been a bust, and will be quickly pushed to the back of our memories, if not forgotten.

Similiarly to Henry last season, his performances seemed to improve as his contract began expiring, and the American sports fan in me believes that these two things are linked. He was either looking for an improved contract from Connacht or placing himself in the shopping window for other teams.

Just my opinion.
