Consensus is that it's a penalty, but it's by no means unanimous. Some are arguing that the scrum half was pushing, but not bound, therefore not technically joined to the scrum. Although others have pointed out that if this is the case then the SH is probably offside because he's ahead of the ball.
All in all, the overall feeling is that there's a penalty there somewhere, but they're not sure if they can penalise it
Indeed it's gone to four and was at risk of changing focus, added my two-penneth worth to the debate. They seem to not be clear about the binding laws which is a little disturbing as nearly all are presumably qualified referees at varying levels (me I'm bottom of the heap)..

Watch the highlights again. 24 seconds in, Parks sustained a nasty blow to the head. Cynical stuff really.

And rugbyrefs.com agree on twitter, should have been a penalty the other way

I don't think we had. Kearney had lifted his head but was still bound which he can do. Scrum half joined and then we popped up. If anything it was stupid by the scrum half to join in because Treviso were slowly getting there

Nice that they've started doing this sort of review of games.
Was Parks possibly injured? his kicking style seemed odd. I hope not.
dat pop pass from marmion, gets better every time.
Good to see connacht able to maintain composure at the end and not knock on.
Kearney popping up was criminal, I don't think our scrum is strong enough to allow early disengagements, I'd far rather all eight scrummaged together and maintained parity or hopefully pushed the opposition back, rather than being forced back but having a player with the option to tackle the scrum half (hope that makes sense).
Since when is it legal for a scrum half to join a scrum? Especially where the opponents get penalised a penalty try. Patterson is some clown, absolutely useless....

Some disappointing play in the 2nd half, try was poor on 2 counts. Block down and then failing to hold on, take the potential hit for the 3 points by holding on for an extra couple of seconds while your defence scrambles.
Another 3 points from a Matt Healy break where he kicked into no mans land, fine tackle from Poolman to deny them the try, penalty on scrum then, scrum was hard to judge, Patterson looked to have lost control in that area.
Good character and composure at the end, good to see us scoring after going through a couple of phases close in, not something I'm used to seeing in a Connacht side especially in a make or break situation.

in the 57 min we got away with them not scoring, shocker from them, our scrum they score 3.
penalty try- wat was the scrum given for, high tackle by locks?, who then went of injured and cooney came in. they held there own for few seconds but then treviso made the second push and conney popped. fair call by the ref.
another one of parks restarts not going 10m then our scrum send treviso back on there own scrum on half way line. weird
76 min we got lucky they messed up a drop kick from 15 metres out, ball dropped
we were unlucky with penalty try, cooney was just brought on cold, scrums after that, we distroyed them.
fetuu is a man playing for a contract, dont know if thats here or elsewhere.

not sure how much browne was helping locks in the scrum.
fetuu was hitting rucks and was at the breakdown alot, turning over ball.
not the most exciting first half ever, treviso were close to our line 3 or so times.
parks had 3 kicks from the same spot, 1st went to the right, 2nd to the left. 3rd went over.

Great chase by Healy at the end of the first half he looks like he could be very handy.
