We ended up in one last bar for one last drink. Left with our heads tipped back for fear of any beer spilling out

Super match to be at. Talked about it all day at work today

Got back to my hotel after the match and draped my Connacht flag over bed.

Cardiff fans were great too. Came up to all of us in the pubs after full of chat

Tries for this on the RTE Player for those who can access it. 39:56 to 40:36 for anyone who doesn't want to have to watch anymore. Brian Murphy did very well for the 2nd try in particular. Faloon took both opportunities well. 3rd try he took very smartly. Their try was a bit of a disaster all round and its cutting out these kind of things that will be important if we are to pick up more victories in the next couple of months.

Thought I was having a serious case of deja vu reading the above, until I realised I had read it earlier elsewhere.

Great to see that you got to watch what seemed like a great performance by the way. Delighted that Murphy had a good game, always great for a player to play like that when given his chance.

Just back from Cardiff. One of the best away wins ever? We cam flying out of the traps. Clearly the blues had never seen or heard of Brian Murphy. He was excellent in the 1st half and set up the two tries with great support running and offloading. He'd probably get found out against a better back line. We need to get Poolman the ball more. He's not the fastest, but he's quick and very strong carrying. Falloon was just outstanding. He was great against the spreys but stepped it up again. Nikora put up his hand to be kept on. Ran the line well and kicked well. Mul had probably his worst game for us in a long ass time. Our discipline was very good throughout even if JHW was sin binned. I can't wait to see the back of Reyneke. While JHW was in the sin bin Reyneke knew he'd be called into play any second. Waited until he had to come on to take off the bib and tracksuit. Put that in contrast to Buckley who spent a good 5 minutes warming up and had to be told by the touch judge to keep off the field, he was raring to go.

Random report I know but I was sinking Brains all the while

Treviso totally deserved their victory. As for Munster someone will have to explain to them that there is such a thing as a blindside and your supposed to defend it. This boned my superbru scores this week (this and Ulster) but fair to Treviso well deserved.

Munster were absolutely dire. Thats Treviso's 2nd/3rd team and they wiped them. Some of the tries were like you'd see Connacht conceding in the Bradley days. I'd have been happier if Munster won being honest as Treviso are our more realistic rivals at this stage.

From a Connacht viewpoint lets see how the Zebre game goes and hopefully push on from there. The fact Zebre lost at home to Dragons suggests we should have little problem disposing of them if we are fully tuned in.

For Munster fans now is the time to be very worried about top 4 hopes though. Ospreys could deliver the knockout blow next weekend.

Munster have their work cut out to get top 4 with some tough matches lieing ahead but they will win at least 4 and I would think 5 of their remaining games.

The challenge for Connacht is to keep picking up results and hopefully it can get us to a minimum of 8th place and with a few things going our way maybe 7th. There is hope for more wins for Connacht on the run in but as I said after the game yesterday evening the last two weeks will count for nothing unless we are 100% professional and get the win against Zebre next Friday, maybe then we can see how we lie. The benefit going into that match is we will have 2 extra days rest and they will be missing a few I'd imagine. The HC game should serve as a wakeup call, they were the better team in the 2nd half and could easily have beaten us.

Next week needs to be given the same respect a HC game or interpro would. The team must be fully tuned in. If we win the table will look a lot more positive than 3 weeks ago, if we lose then its 1 step forward and 2 steps back.

half time treviso 22, munster 3!!!!! i always stick/believe with what i say.

ended 34-10

I'm with you on that. We need to see of Zebre and treat Musgrave Park as a cup final...and then hope Leinster blow the Amlin!! :P

Blood in the water lads we can take them if we put in a huge effort.. H'on Connacht!!

your word seems perfectly cromulent.

I think winning without Dan Parks was a big plus. I can't remember the last time we played well when he was not on the pitch, that is not to say we always play well when he plays, far from it.

WF has been the signing of the season, he always impresses when he plays

Agreed I thought he started slow this season but the more games he's played the better he's become. I think we'd be hard pressed to remember a better year for signings with White, Poolman, Parks, Faloon and JHW coming in. Hopefully next years crop is just as good.

Absolutely, a real 7 is a real gift and it seems to be a real problem position in terms of finding a 'true' one. Henry has become an excellent 7 at Ulster yet Faloon would probably have made plenty of Ulster appearances due to player management etc. but with us he has started the big games.

JOC has cemented his place in the halls of Connacht fandom, but he can't go on forever and it's great to have a ready made replacement in terms of ability, nuisancecessence (I just made that up) and generating fan excitement. Here's hoping we can keep him around for a long time to come.

Faloon has been a top class signing at number 7 - strong , committed , scores tries and makes a general nuisance of himself when the opposition has control of the football (sounding like EOS there :)) .

Really is a strong player and a good flanker lifts the team .

Long may he stay with us injury free!!
