Not disagreeing with you guys just noting the difference of seeing it live as opposed to TV.

Was at the match and I thought TOH had a great game. He missed one high ball that he should have taken. He looked hungry, the fact that it was his fiftieth cap and also that he had been dropped recently probably had an impact.

TOH is back fighting for the cause

Saw this on TV (surprise) and didn't think TOH had a good game at all I don't know how many high balls he went for and missed. Shows the difference watching a game live and on TV I suppose.

we have no gameplan.
even when NOC was here everyone knew the plan was to kick and set the defence. this year when any player gets it, nobody else on the pitch knows what going to happen next.
this game henshaw was good and TOH is back fighting for the cause. we dont give fetu the ball often enough.
dan parks took a heavy hit early in the second half that kept him on the floor for a good few seconds, after that he wasnt the same, missed 2 or 3 kicks into touch. scrum was great

Horrendous is right. However, I don't think it should be forgotten about. We won but these awful performances can't continue to be swept under the carpet.

There is still a lot to play for in the league but on recent form this season is going to end very badly....................

There are too many of our players getting in to very bad habits at a crucial stage in their development.

I think the team has just fallen into a rut and there are too many guys taking the easy option.

Borders no.2 and connachtexile, you guys sum up exactly how I feel. Get Pat down here as soon as we can to start shaking thing up.

Backs were very very flat. For Robbie's excellent catch and legger up the field, was just crying out for a support runner.Wins a win and thankfully history will say 3 out of 6 wins.Bookies had it + 15.Parks can make his mistakes but without him we would have lost by 1. Still, positives in that a lotta young lads more than holding their own.

I'd give Parks a pass on this one, he was poor but clearly not fit. A couple of his penalties fairly limped over, wasn't striking them full power. Hit the post with one and the one he sent wide was difficult enough. Failing to find touch from penalties up the line is a different matter, could have cost us the match.

Front row did well but McCarthy and Kearney were quiet and JOC and Swifty were breathing out their arseh*les before half time.

Couple times with a penalty advantage miles out we played out when we should have dropped the ball on the deck and marched them back to their own line.

In open play we looked horribly underpowered up front at times tonight, someone on the forum was worried about the backrow and they weren't wrong.

There is still a lot to play for in the league but on recent form this season is going to end very badly. I think Pat Lam needs to get the call to come in for at least a couple of months before the end of the season and get a right perspective on the setup. In the meantime the lads have a bit of a break. They have a week off now after a lot of games but after that the players and management have to get together and find a gameplan to make us competitive for the rest of the season. The mixture up and unders and side to side rugby, line breaks with no support has being going on all season and its predictable and not utilising the talent at our disposal.

There are too many of our players getting in to very bad habits at a crucial stage in their development.

I think the team has just fallen into a rut and there are too many guys taking the easy option. I'd hoped Eric leaving would spur them on. Talk all week of this being Eric's last European tie in charge and to finish on a high. That performance was an embarrassment to Eric and the supporters and once Zebre saw how poor we were and had a go they were the better team. We were just lucky they are so low on belief and their discipline is poor.

Nathan White should get plenty of pats on the back this evening as his scrummaging really dug us out of a hole. Henshaw didn't do anything wrong. TOH tried hard in fairness and did some good chasing, he's one of the very few who can be relatively happy with their last 2 weeks. Apart from that Parks came good in the end but had a very poor 2nd half up to that point, 2 missed touches from penalties, 1 relatively easy miss, poor fumble on his own line. McCarthy has looked for the last two weeks that he already has the bags packed.

All in all very disjointed. When we took the common sense pick and drive approach it yielded results but some of our game management and decision making was once again dire, plenty of sloppiness on the lineouts in terms of handling and protection of the ball.

In a few weeks I'll probably look back and say 3 from 6 was a decent HC campaign, same number of wins as Biarritz but tonight was demolarising.

Roll on the Ireland A game next week. I certainly need a break from watching Connacht at this stage.

Wasn't the greatest spectacle to watch but especially with the weather that would have been a big ask. Went to sleep after the penalty try when the advantage should have really been pushed on. At least its won now.

Absolutely mangling them in the scrum. I think Brett's got his mojo back and sees that with Buckley being injured, he might have his starting spot back and wants to hang onto it.

heard during the week that Rodney was injured but he is on the bench.

JP Cooney is on the bench for both! That really is stretching the squad to the limit

I saw Rodders in Dunnes last week and he had quite a pronounced limp so either he's had a great recovery or he is just there in case of absolute necessity. Also he seems to have lost a decent bit of weight compared to when he first came here.

Also agree that Zebre will really want a win here, and without looking up the table I think they might have picked up as many or more losing bonus points than us so far this season.
