The penalty try was probably going to be scored eventually but it was harsh, especially as I remember a couple of years ago a Connacht scrum with the last play being denied a certain try by Munster dragging down the scrum in a far more likely to score position and the ref went back for another penalty.
Also while Harris-Wright probably deserved a card, the ref was far more lenient on Munster on a couple of occasions while Connacht possession was deliberately killed in the red zone.
Parks has been a positive influence since he arrived but for the most part tonight he didn't deliver while Keatley did. Stringer too showed his experience at key times to keep his pack moving forward. Try came about due to countless Connacht mistakes in the lead up and then to concede two absolutely stupid penalties either side of half time gave us a mountain to climb by the time we eventually started to have a cut at it.
Missing the penalty at 12-16 was a killer as I think we'd have had the momentum to get a penalty or dg if we were just 1 behind. We were unlucky with the try that wasn't but its seems to be the usual story of self-destruction when we play Munster.
We have yet to turn any tight games into victories this year yet and thats why we are where we are in the table. There is no use saying we are getting there because the league table suggests otherwise.

The penalty against the rolling maul was really harsh IMO, didn't see what jhw was booked for but the penalty try was pretty ridiculous.
JHW was booked for killing the ball it was his second warning so fair enough and the penalty try is a IRB directive apparently. Not sure how I think about the ref at the mo so will let other people comment. Gutted for the boys though.

Game was lost either side of half time with two daft plays gifting them 6 points from two penalties. Writing was on the wall from that point on. Keatley was superb - the difference between the two sides. Try saving tackle and monster penalty capping it off.

Yeah, I hope Poolman has fully recovered from the knock to his head because he can expect a good pounding up the middle from those two. You wont want to be shying away from the contact or you get run over.

I want to see S Archer retreating backwards at a rate of knots at every scrum. Wilko really needs to be going after him in a massive way. Nice to see Grace get some form of opportunity on the bench, hope he gets a good 20mins to make an impression.
