Mazda have a contract to 2014 i think ( 3 year deal signed last year )

I don't think it's an announcement about anything on the pitch

id say they have learned from last season not to call contract renewals 'major annoucement'.

find it strange that the day is moved and also its in the G hotel, does that happen often?

i think it could be 3 things.

1 major sponsirship, wanting to wine and dine them in the most expense hotel in galway.

2 some news about the ground, new stand etc, but funds look unlikely, plus we will only possibly only have two 'sell outs' this season.

Doubt it's a contract renewal, earliest we'd here of them is November/December

Probably something along those lines. Last year they got our hopes up for a major announcement and it was contract renewals.

There has been a change to Connacht Rugby's media activity ahead of their away game v Ulster.

Monday's Press Conference has been rescheduled to Wednesday at 5pm. This is to accommodate a major announcement from the Connacht Rugby branch.

Chief Executive Tom Sears will be in attendance along with Head Coach Eric Elwood and the venue is the G Hotel, Wellpark, Galway City.
