Indeed, the last thing we need is other bars being hostile to the Clan. Galway's a small town and we should be supporting all the bars that have taken an interest in supporting the rugby, not just our own HQ. There will come a time when either the Dail or the Clan will decide it's best to end the relationship, and when that happens the last thing you'll need is a load of burned bridges when looking for a new place to rock up.

Connacht can promote their own events, or events their partners put on. Don't forget that Massimos offers Player Sponsorship etc. and I do know that it's the same 'group' that look after the Clan Bar on match day. Besides, plenty of pubs to go around.

Once a new Clan event thread is started, can we use the Facebook Events tool to announce these?
It's good as it allows FB followers to indicate if they are going via the FB Page which helps to build momentum, and obviously FB posts automatically creates a Tweet also.

The FB post can also be targeted specifically to local area followers (i.e. in this case for away game Dail Bar event, to Galway City and surrounds followers).

The link to the forum thread can be added to so any updates can be followed...
