Good result for the Yanks, nothing much to add.

yeah it started well and it ended well, but the middle bit was very poor. Looked like both teams had run out of idea for a while and then Russia had a bit of pressure towards the end. Fair play to the yanks for their defence... very well organised.

The Eagles are a scrappy bunch...no doubt about it.  They were within three meters of the try line on at least three occasions I can recall.  Spent most of the game surging toward the try line.  Not many teams with more heart at this year's RWC.  All they lack is a bit of skill and a lot of experience.

Saw a bit of the second half, and the commentators were giving Russia a lot of credit - they had their backs to the wall for most of the game, but they were piling on the pressure at the end, and if they had gotten the converted try they would have nicked a draw. The americans were overjoyed at the final whistle so this was clearly the game they targetted. They'll probably go on the lash now and get well and truly hammered by the aussies.

13 - 6 against the russians didn't see the game but at least eddie has the win that he would have targetted prior to the opening game of the RWC. Well done eddie
