Didn't look like anything that might rule him out for next week (fingers and toes crossed).

I’ll admit, I was worried when the news came out that the three lads were out. Even more worried after their first try.
But some effort was put in. Fantastic game, amazing result, very proud today.
You can say that again!

Without doubt, todays game will go down as one of the best Connacht Rugby victories of all time.
Also, as a Dublin based Connacht Rugby supporter, I felt that the 1pm Sunday luchtime kick off was perfect for me, I could make a day trip by bus (Always GoBus)

1) McAlister
3) Bealham
4) Roux
5) Thornbury
6) SOB
7) McKeon
8 ) Butler
9) Marmion
11) Healy (S.Fitz)
12) Robb
13 Farrell
14) Niyi
15) TOH
I'd even add Gallagher who went off after 6 minutes
That's 11-12 players who could have had started the game + 2 or 3 who would have had their spots on the bench
We had none.
We couldn't win
We won

Names side is strong in parts, but feel the pack will be bashed around the place and we won't get the platform for our backs to shine. We'll need to be absolutely on the money in every facet, otherwise we could face long periods without the ball and going backwards...
Ultan's great in certain types of games (if we've got go forward) but he's not a brutish enforcer in Quinn mode. We really don't have proper backup for Quinn, to deal with these types of teams in depths of winter. Backrow the same, with a front five platform they are excellent but they are not the biggest of men any of them. At least Copeland is on the bench to offer some heft in 2nd Row, don't want to see Boyler anywhere near there this week....
Weather gods are shining on us anyway so far, forecast is for light rain Saturday and dry and bright Sunday, with a fresh northerly breeze so it's be fairly blowy and bitterly cold. Hopefully that means load of handling issues for the oppo and turnovers for us.
Will be interesting to see who MHRC name, doubt they'l have any of their Saffer RWC stars but still huge depth......
