Hey all is anyone heading over for the quarters? Will be arriving the 17th,have tickets for both qtrs fingers Xd Ireland make it after the Japan debacle! If anyone is up for it, an Solas Irish bar in Tokyo are organising a street party for whatever qtr final ireland end up in. If you check out their Facebook page u can sign up for bus to and from the game also back to Solas for post match revelry. It happens that we are staying close enough to there so said we would make that the local! Will pack a few Connacht jerseys so hope to see some Clan crew out there! I got quarter final 4 cat C and semi final 2 cat B tickets via that link also swift4prez!!! bloody delighted as had been 2hrs at 50k in the queue to get on the damn website!! if anyone is trying on Saturday in general sale check boards.ie thread...very useful! So then booked flights this eve with Finnair via Helsinki 17th Oct to 4th Nov. Will stay on for finals wkend just in case! Managed to rope in a mate aswell so rather excited now to say the least!!

Tickets on sale again for those who didn’t get what they wanted in last round. I was given a link to skip the really slow queue and got quarter final tickets. Only cat A tickets left for the semi, I’m planning to be in Japan for semi so hopefully pick up tickets closer to the time

Im contemplating making the trip given all the postitivity around the Irish team at mo has me on a buzz, plus making a holiday of it! Was looking at packages but they seem extortionate altho would prob save a lot of hassle alrite as tickets are guaranteed albeit Cat D in most.

So have been looking at doing diy trip, return trip for 2 weeks to take in qtrs & semis, flights are pretty reasonable.
Had a look at hotels in Tokyo & Yokohama which dont look too bad either.
Challenge will be the tickets I think, I did apply in ballot but no luck. So hoping I can grab some in general sale in January!

Will check bk here if I do pull the trigger on the trip, be grt to meet some other Clan members over there!

I only got a ticket for the Ireland v Russia group match. Very hard to get those tickets for the high demand matches! There is another opportunity before they go on general sale in January (i.e. there is a 2-day window from 15th to 17th Jan) for us to get our ideal match tickets. Let's keep our fingers crossed..

Going for the knock out stages, just picked up quarter final tickets Ire vs NZ/SA if we win the group.

I'm going. I got (Category D) tickets for Ireland's Group games in the ballot. Seems, from previous posts, these may be some distance from the action! I went to Japan for the soccer World Cup and it was a great trip, Roy Keane and Saipan not withstanding.

Myself and a mate are planing on going. Unfortunately the timing of the RWC and work does not suit, so the best I can do is the first two group games, which thankfully are the better games. I have applied for Scotland and Japan. I have also decided the New Zealand v South Africa game would be worth going to also. Fingers crossed.

That's great news mollz265! I have tickets for all of the group matches (except Scotland) and hoping that a contact of mine replies to let me know what is the best accommodation to go for. He currently lives in Japan (approx 6 months now) and would have a good idea of where is best.

Last phase I applied for the 4 group games, with the option to upgrade and down grade. Didn't want to commit to quarter and semi's incase i'd be left with 12 category A tickets.
I ended up getting Russia and Samoa. Think that's worked in my favour as I now can apply for Quarter and Semi final tickets.
First game is 22/9/19 and semi final is 27/10/19 which is 5 weeks in Japan but cutting out the first 2 games will save me (money on accomadation and food etc) 12 days in Japan.
On the other side tho, its annoying that I didn't get Ireland vs Scotland as the website is saying "mid demand" on that game. I suppose people applied and turned the tickets down. Demand for Ireland vs Japan is without surprise "high demand" (if any ticket is left at all). The gap between the Scotland game and Russia game is 12 days if you don't have tickets to the Japan game.
I've applied for those 2 games on seperate account to the quarter and semi; and will turn down the Scotland game if I dont get Japan game.
From a supporters point of view the Scotland game is at International Stadium Yokohama, has a track around it and quiet a distance between the pitch and supporters. The tickets are not fan friendly either. 2 main stands running length of the pitch are Category A at 232 Euro each, and category B, C and D all behind the dead ball line, priced 170 Euro, 108 Euro and 54 Euro. The price diifference Vs view difference is crazy.
