Surely even factoring in his recent injury profile he would still be a good local lad to have around, unless he has signed for someone else. although after reading his full statement on instagram it does hint at retirement.

Awful pity he was blighted by injuries of late. He'll be missed.

www.connachtrugby.ie/peter-robb-extends-...f-the-201819-season/
Connacht Rugby are delighted to confirm that centre Peter Robb has extended his contract with the province. The 23-year-old made his debut for Connacht against Russian side Enisei STM during the 2015-16 Championship winning season and has gone on to make 26 appearances for the senior side.
Commenting on the contract extension, Connacht Head Coach Kieran Keane said: “We are delighted that Peter has extended his contract into next season. He is a big powerful player and gives us increased options in our midfield. He has been unlucky with injury this season, but he has worked really hard to get back to his best over the past few weeks.”
Speaking after signing his contract extension, Peter Robb said: “I am delighted to have signed a new contract with Connacht. It is great to be back on the pitch again over the past few weeks and I am determined to perform to the best of my ability in the Connacht jersey. I have been honoured to represent Connacht over the past four years and to have experienced success with the club. As a player group we are determined to bring further success to the province.”

Same age as Parks when he arrived, and with Myler's League background you know he won't be a turnstile in defence...

Maybe he's coming on board as a coach or maybe Carty's going to tour Oz, but most likely this just isn't happening.
BTW when Northampton announced he was leaving they mentioned he was 23 from 23 kicks at goal in the four finals he played for them.

A little bit alright but he is a very effective nuts and bolts out half who could be a great role model for Carty, Horwitz and Carty Jr and any other possible younger 10s coming through (How did Prendergast get on today?)

Where would fans like see strensthened. Personally I see:
1) A loosehead
2) A hooker with O'Toole leaving
3) A back row
4) Possible young ten with bags of potential
1) Peter Dooley
2) If Delahunt stays think an academy player would do as 4th choice IMO, maybe we'll have a look at Eoghan Clarke
3) Probably an NIQ, and one more IQ
4) We have Luke Carty, could see us bringing Conor Dean into the academy perhaps
