If they ever do move to a global calendar is there any idea of when the season would run? As long as January & February were eliminated I still think the Northeast US could be in the running. As someone from that part of the country I would be very disappointed to hear that Pro 12 rugby was coming to NA only to find out I still had to hop on a plane to take in any of the games.

Vancouver is beautiful; a multicultural metropolitan seaport city with a perfect mix of urban areas and nature.

And Houston is...um, very Houstony.

I love above all the idea of coming back in front of English and French clubs with a big espn/cbs paycheck and tell them "oh look, now expended Pro12 have far more money than you, so we decide, headquarter back to Dublin, 24 clubs competition, revenues mostly ours and so on"... what a revenge it would be...

That's as the crow flies according to Google not actual flightpaths. Vancouver and Houston would be a great climate to play in and I get the cold winters on the east coast along with the shortcomings of good pitches, but the timings for tv and player fatigue due to excessive travel would be too much. I'd love to be proven wrong because I love the idea and think it's possibly our only way of keeping the pro 12 interesting.

I don't see New York, Boston, or Toronto being able to guarantee games getting played in mid winter. Vancouver is as wet and grey and mild as Dublin and one of the major centres of Canadian rugby. So not as nuts as it might seem initially.

Toronto and New York are far enough west and to keep the time zones as close as possible. Logistically travelling to the east coast would be a tough ask for a rugby team never mind Texas or BC.
