Funny they think Ireland are now prepared to take on the Boks after victories over Italy & Scotland. Might feel that way if they just completed a Grand Slam.

A bit of confusion at 67 minutes of Ireland v Scotland game following our try...a bit of argy- bargy under posts but all it was a Scots player wanting Henshaws jersey...and he nearly got it off him.

Going to the Sportsgrounds is a bit like Mass:You stay until the players are off the pitch and never leave early!

Why are they messing about with Roux? We only just got him back.

Meanwhile TOH and Olding will be twiddling their thumbs with weekend off - would it not have made more sense to have them involved in Irish Camp?

from my understanding toh and olding were both gone on holidays so were not available. sums up where its at

This is not the 6 Nations for experimentation. The WC draw is made based on seeding at year end. Currently we are 7, France, 8 and Scotland 9. We must stay in top 8 to get second seeding in a group. That is why the Scotland match is huge as a Scottish win could move them to 7 and us to 9. We would also benefit from an England win.
I'm with JS on this one, I would judge him more on the SA tour, where he can afford to be bold. A win in SA of any type would help, but nothing to be gained in Autumn, as unlikely to beat NZ and Canada will not gain any points.

I have completely gone off Schmidt as the saviour of Irish rugby. Perhaps all my hope now is in David Nucifora's long term plans!!

The Italy game was well won at half time. That was the time to change for say Marmian and Dillane in particular. Purely to get as much relevant experience as possible into them and that they become genuine contenders for starting positions.

I find him ultra conservative and negative. I don't think he handles the pressure well as head coach and reacts accordingly.

How else could one justify McFadden (albeit a productive outing) as central to growing the next generation of Irish internationals?

Not to mention Andrew Conway over a number of better options. Perhaps he is balancing politics also, but I doubt it.

I would gladly forego the next three 6 nations if we ended up playing like the argies!!!!!

This 6 nations has been the worst spectacle for a long time and England win with a game in hand.

I am sure the south are quacking in their boots!!!

It would be great to see Healy, O'Halloran, Buckley etc. in the squad but this game doesn't particularly matter. These snubs can be quite useful ammunition for the upcoming interpros and we don't need to disrupt the squad in the lead up to Leinster, the lads get a break ahead of a busy run-in and hopefully they will get the call up they deserve in the summer.

Last try in Oct, record for last 6 seasons? 3-4-4-5-0-3 so yeah that would be correct....

Ten Munster players in the Squad now, the lowest placed Irish province.
Highest placed has five...#HowDoesThatWorkJoe?

Joe ConserverSchmidt is more than likely going to be still in charge till the next World cup, I will be extremely happy (and very surprised) if we can hold onto Pat till then.

Firstly, it's Conway instead of TOH. Secondly, who do you think St. Joe is looking at over his shoulder, Foley or Lam?
