Hey Johno welcome to the forum and to Galway. I haven't heard of a trials system uo here but if you are with either Galwegians or Corinthians you will be in the position to be seen by Academy coaches and Connacht rugby staff as they are the only 2 teams in Galway a Connacht Player can play for. ( the academy may be different )
I'd suggest asking your coaches on the best route into the provincial set up. They would have better knowledge on how to get noticed for the right reasons.
Good luck and hopefully it all works out for you

Hello all, I'm a young scrumhalf coming from the Munster underage set up 18s 19s etc, and I'm in college in galway. Settling in was quite hard and choosing a club was tough but i found one nonetheless. Anyways Just wondering what the representative set up is like up here. Can guys go straight from club to interpro squad if they play well enough with 2nd or 1st team? or is it like the way it is down south where the majority have been in the underage set up for a while and that's how they get onto intrrpro squads, if you get kicked out your most likely out for good. Heard from a few lads who were in Rockwell but didn't make the 18s that Connacht hold open trials, this was about a year ago so I don't know what the case is now but I'd be interested if they're still on this April or May.
I've heard Connacht are very liberal in general when it comes to giving fellas a chance unlike Munster where after u18s majority are shafted through and never return no matter how well they develop. Anyways if anyone has any information I'd be gratrful
