Good win, I was confidant of getting something from this game. Make no mistake qbout it, this is a big win for us.
Read somewhere he was ill at halftime
And the next one was smashed by Leader's front-contact, and was there 30 seconds later to award the 2nd Connacht try. Good guy:!

Defensively it was much improved. Lots still to work on, we turned over possession too easily at times but big result and massive step in the right direction. Today was a good example of why we signed Bundee Aki
Straight away now we need to refocus on Edinburgh. After Munster last season we didn't make it count against Edinburgh the following week. Two big weeks before Europe where we need to keep mounting up the points.

Masterson carried well at times and NFM was an absolute nuisance to them at the breakdown (that said if Tupuric came on sooner we may have been in trouble, he was superb) but the undoubted MOM was Senor Aki. When he's in the mood he's dam near un-stopable on both sides of the ball: big tackles, choke tackles, line breaks, stepping and an aggression that more of our players could do with, some game by him :woohoo:
I'm still hot happy with the ref after half time- he was even congratulating the Osprey's players at one point ("well done lads, good clear out"), which could be seen as encouraging the game to flow but I don't remember him doing it to us and as Matty Williams would say "it's a bit ordinary".
Win next weekend and 24 points after 6 games would be some start :silly:

Edit: and just like that try from a "crossing" penalty against us where the ball handler never went behind the dummy runner

I think from a defensive viewpoint in a game we will be under pressure the centre positions looks more solid as well as giving us another kicking option. That back row is probably worth a look but would have preferred to see it in the Zebre game, Muldoon was left on for too long in that game.
The main disappointment is that Ronan Loughney misses out along with Tom McCartney, if we had genuine front row replacement options that could be brought on to put the squeeze on Ospreys I'd be a lot more confident about this one.

That's a long injury list this early in the season...
