We need to be getting the win here, even without players missing we should be looking to win home games against a team like the blues. If we can't beat the with half their team gone then we could be looking at an uphill battle this year.

With the blues missing so many I will be seriously disappointed if we don't get the 4 points.

The team let it slip last year twice against Cardiff!
But the ability to only play one half of rugby is worrying, and hopefully it wont bite us in the ass!

While the World Cup moves up another gear there is the small matter of Cardiff visiting Galway on Saturday. Our record against them makes for grim reading, 3 wins and 2 draws in 24 games. We beat them a couple of times before they became a region in the Celtic League but overall our record against them is very poor.

Obviously the 2 games against Cardiff Blues last season were a huge part of the reason why we failed to achieve a top 6 finish. With that in mind this is a game where hopefully we can pick up from the tail end of the Glasgow game and start building a strong record at the Sportsground again.

Obviously they are missing Gethin Jenkins, Sam Warburton, Lloyd Williams, Cory Allen (injured), Alex Cuthbert and now Gareth Anscombe. Add in new signings Blaine Scully, Cam Dolan & Rey Lee-Lo and they are well stretched. They started with a huge win at home to Zebre and were competitive away to Leinster but anything less than 4 points here would be a significant setback imo.
