Is pats contract up this year? Job going at Harlequins. What I'm saying is that when you get a better contract you think about yourself. If pat got the harlequins job he would be gone. So while I appreciate the sentiment pat expressed I really don't buy it in the modern game of professional rugby. While team supporters may be passionate these guys are simply paid employees. Yes they are disappointed to lose because they want to win. Yes they hate playing badly as it reflects badly on themselves. I wonder how many of our first team really think about the jersey they put on as compared to the money generated in their back pocket putting on that jersey. They all have their agendas. Do you think tiernan or matt will stay after the snub by Joe. Do you think Jake or bundee are going to stay at Connacht if there is no euro rugby of note next year. Sorry if my viewpoint isn't terribly fashionable but its my viewpoint. It doesn't stop me supporting Connacht but I do expect pat to leave (he would be mad not to, he will get fantastic offers) and I do expect a lot to leave with him.
Pat extended his contract last year by three years...

Pat Lam has signed a new three-year deal with Connacht Rugby and the IRFU to remain in the position of Connacht Head Coach until at least the summer of 2018.

If he carried on his form from last year and was flying it we would miss him but sad to say his not the top tighthead for us.
Good luck to him I hope his the last to leave please god for another while.

Yeah me too, but it doesn't look like they ever reached a decision and may keep it as is. It's a bit ridiculous that we still don't know in fairness

Players need to be picked on form as much as anything . Healy deserved to be there but at least we have him available to us.

Might be platitudes, might mean Bealham and O'Donnell are in the 23 for Saturday and Rodney heads off to the valleys. It'll be interesting to see the selection.
