I like the look of the fixtures. Going by last season we'll need something in the mid-high 50s for a real chance at Top 6.
Therefore, for me we need to win the first 5 home games at a minimum. Glasgow and Ospreys away are usually 0 pointers but hopefully with World Cup absentees we can get something from those games. Something like 23 points from the first 7 games is very achievable which would give us a good springboard to launch a push for Top 6.
Fixtures in and around the 6 nations look favourable too. Tough end to the season again with Ulster, Munster and Glasgow likely to be pushing for Top 4. Really we would want to have the bulk o
I think this is at least the 4th time we've had Dragons at home on the opening day.

Can't decide which is more amusing on the Scarlets thread - the level of entitlement or the innumeracy. Like Scarlets we have just 4 home games in Feb to May. And 4 away ones!
If they reviewed last season's results they'd see that the 3 teams with the worst record during the international windows (comparing win % during the windows vs. win % outside them) were Glasgow, Leinster, and Ospreys. Scarlets were the team that outperformed during those periods, so they should be looking forward to the season with relish.

I'm getting way ahead of myself, but that run in could be something else (in a good way).
Certainly better than last season anyway even if 4 of our last 5 are against the probable play-off teams.
I don't think we've done as well during the international windows as we might have. It's almost as though they've tried to keep the teams lighter on internationals together during those periods.....which is fair enough I suppose.
Back to back Scarlets games could be massive. (Their supporters are absolutely disgusted by the fixtures by the way: Link to Scarlets' forum )

For anyone going to the RWC there is not a lot of coverage for us on Welsh TV.
If we manage to top the pool and get to the semi, Ireland would be playing in Twickenham the day after the Ospreys game in the Liberty, in which case attendance in Swansea will be mandatory!

Of the first 12 it's 6 home, 6 away, but of the home matches only the InterPro against Ulster will be shown live. Every one of our away matches in first 12 to be shown, so brilliant for us home-based fans, won't miss a second, next to useless for the diaspora.
5 of the first 7 at home, then 4 of next 5 away (HaHHaHHaaHaa) so we could have a very lopsided season.
Including CC fixtures, we're looking at a (regular) home season of:
September - 1 game
October - 3 games
November - 2 games
December - 2 games
January - 2 games
February - 1 game
March - 1 game
April - 1 game
May - 1 game

Leinster and Munster at home in must win games to qualify for Champions Cup is a marketing departments wet dream
Decent start with Dragons Home, Glasgow away, Cardiff and Zebre home and then Ospreys away
Glasgow and Ospreys should be weakened with RWC
Glasgow away is tempting to venture over for

Dates and times for first 12 rounds out. Of those 5 of them are at home, three of those are Friday nights at 19:30.....none of which will be televised so really sticking it to the non-Galway based fans
Edit: run in looks very tough again
Leinster home
Ulster away
Munster home
Treviso away
Glasgow home
