AGM is looming. There is one suggested resolution, which is to amend the Constitution:

Current Wording of Relevant Section:

4.1 The general management of the Club is vested in the Committee, consisting of the President, Vice-President, the Secretary, the Treasurer and at up to three additional elected ordinary members.
4.4 In the event of the death, incapacity or resignation of a Committee member, the remaining Committee members may elect another Club member to serve as a Committee member until the next AGM.

This allows for limited numbers on the committee, and allows inflexibility should someone wish to come on board mid-year. It is suggested that the Constitution will be amended to the following:

4.1 The general management of the Club is vested in the Committee, consisting of the President, Vice-President, the Secretary, the Treasurer and at up to six additional elected ordinary members.
4.4 In the event that the membership of the Committee is less than ten, the remaining Committee members may elect another Club member to serve as a Committee member until the next AGM. The membership of the Club shall be notified in the event of such an election.

We are hoping to adopt this change by simple resolution at the AGM.

In that vein: we are always looking for more Committee members. We have one absentee nomination to the Committee already, so if anyone is interested in pitching in, please do let us know.

Unfortunately won't be able to make AGM but you can put me down to volunteer, I'll do my best to help out whenever I can.

I added a poll there, just to give us an idea of numbers and help planning.
If anyone wants to join the committee but won't be able to attend the AGM, let us know.
We'll also be recruiting a Volunteer Panel, which is for people who don't want to join the committee but are prepared to help out from time to time. We got a few names for that before but never really did anything about it but hopefully will have a few volunteers for next season.
Also if anyone has any motions, amendments to the constitution, etc., feel free to post them here.

This year's Connacht Clan AGM will take place in the Meyrick Hotel on Saturday 13th June at 3.30.

Any members interested in coming along are extremely welcome to attend, we're always looking for new people to take an interest. We'd also encourage anyone who would like to join the committee for next year to let us know, either at the AGM or through other means. It's vital that we get new people on board to provide new energy and ideas on how we can improve. Some of us have being doing this for a few years now, and we need to be taken out of our comfort zone sometimes!
