Another horror place kick from Carty followed by a peach of a kick for touch. We need to shut the game down.

21-10 at half time. Happy enough with that scoreline. We haven't had a huge amount of ball but pleased that we have taken the opportunities that have come our way. Scrum has struggled a bit but really we just need to be smart, play territory and Zebre will cough up ball and ultimately tries. Carty missed another unforgivable penalty early on but has kicked well for territory on a few occasions, one just went over the try line but its the right idea in my view. We saw when Tiernan O'Halloran tried to take on the Zebre defence on his own with little support it cost us a needless 3 points. Kick well and keep the defensive line and we should emerge with all 5 points.

I'm worried that this has banana skin written all over it- no experience at 10, Zebre chasing Europe, last home game of the season, last game in front of his home fans for Bergamasco......we should win but I worry

It's to inform the fair weather fan who will be out in force for next week asking about all the premutations. A smart video by the branch and keeping the casual fan informed. Panic would be a big overstatement for a simple YouTube post, that the branch didn't have to release. He only went with the focus on Connacht line when we were in 6th, we aren't anymore so why pretend and stick our heads in the sand.

I'd hope the branch would release another next week to drum up support for the Ospreys game,

Where were you from September to January? He was our player of the season up to that point and in his best ever foro,. Since that Wolfhounds game and selection of Boss over him, his own levels have dipped but I still don't think he has been awful. Cooney the right option as he has more form.

Agree with the Cooney start, Marmion has not been able to reach the heights of his first two seasons this year. He hasn't necessarily been bad, just not at the level where you feel he's threatening to become Murray's understudy come RWC time. I really hope Carty puts in a performance Saturday. He's backed into the starters role with Ronaldson's injury and Nikora's ineffectiveness, but has failed to take advantage. This back line is ready to break free with the right ball. Will Lam bring C. McKeon on if the game is still in the balance?

I would read a little more into Heffernan's presence in the squad if it were as a starter, but you could be right S4P.

I think bringing in Cooney is the right call, Marmion has lost a bit of the zip and fizz he had at the start of the season.

Ronaldson must be totally banjaxed.

Few things to read into that team!
1) Well done to Conor McKeon, BUT does this mean our outhalfs next season will be ONLY Ronaldson, Carty & McKeon. Was always thinking we couldnt start a season with only Craig and Jack but does Lam hope that young McKeon will turn into a top Pro12/Callenge cup starting outhalf. Not looking good :-/

2) Does Heffernan being in the match day squad mean that he has snubbed Munsters offer and signed for Connacht?
