I think the intention is to get the clubs to promote season tickets to those who haven't bought one before, I don't think they're trying to compete with renewals.

Would you be better off getting the value of a renewal discount and using the money saved to buy whatever is offered as a prize?

A concern of mine with these late incentives is that they may encourage people to wait longer to buy their ST next year in hopes of similar schemes being offered.

Great idea but I, like many Clan members I'm sure, bought mine months ago. Pity. Hopefully it'll run next year too

For those of you who haven't bought your season ticket yet, or know someone else who hasn't, Connacht Rugby are running a new rewards scheme which allows the club you are affiliated with to earn merchandise (rugby balls, BLK gear and jerseys) based on how many season tickets its members buy. Connacht Rugby have essentially given us club status for the purposes of this promotion, which means that anyone who buys a season ticket using the 'Club Members' option and who enters the code 'Connacht Clan' will generate merchandise for us!

We'll distribute these prizes among the people who bought the tickets with the promotion. It might be necessary to have a draw to decide who gets what, and if there happen to be a few excess items left over we'll hang onto them and use them as raffle prizes at a later date.

So spread the word, more season tickets sales for Connacht and free gear is a win win all round.
