Need to remember that French clubs have a much shorter off season than Irish and British clubs. Clermont are back into action proper next week so they were not for experimenting on Friday night.

Lam will got have got a lot from how every player adapted to the quality they faced, particularly the guys coming back from injury and the younger players, the second half will have pleased him for sure....

He'll be wanting to see a big step forward against Wasps, hopefully he'll go into it as a regulars game with his best 23, rather than two teams again......

Delighted to hear Layden performed. What was it about his play that was impressive?

Perfectly fit, that's a big step in itself! But he played mostly on the other wing to support Poolman, hard for me to see more.. I was on the Niyi side of the pitch
TOH and Fionn have been liabilities in 1st half though, that's why I want to see more of him..

Not for me, 1 against 5999 is not easy :lol:
But still proud to have been there, had a little chat with some players at the end, always very nice guys! :) 3 week to improve phisacality, I'm not worried yet

was there, 2nd half was a deserved draw indeed.. I really think Ronaldson Leader and Layden are ahaed of Nikora O'Leary and TOH/Carr (who didn't score, the commentator in the stadium was completely lost with Irish names)

35-0 to Clermont after 41 mins Will be a rout.....be interesting to see "highlights" after.Unsurprising given the 2 teams, first day out & Clermont being well tuned for their upcoming Top14 opener....
