Our work at the breakdown has improved but against a physically stronger side we need to get in extra quick to stop the ball being left open. I have issues with Patterson but 2 more points is a decent result and we would be happy with that on any day other than today. Really in terms of looking to finish top 6 was lost early in the season with some of the poor defeats we had. Was impressed with a lot of our play, however, defensively we still have a lot to work on. The good sides will test your defence in a way the likes of Dragons and Zebre didn't.

Positives to build on and still plenty to work on.

I think it's a day we missed having an out and out seven. Masterson has done extremely well but I just remember thinking how I'd love to see the likes of Heenan or Faloon out their. Our ball presentation wasn't as good as it could have being either. Fair play to the boys for not putting the head down and getting the last try. Nearly screamed myself hoarse for McKeown to touch it down.

Great stuff from the lads - they seem to be 'back on track' as serious team after what happened at Sarries etc earlier in the year. I was a doubter of Lam's but I am converted now.

They look a really strong outfit now and , at last, have some strength in depth.

Can't for the Munster match on the 19th - we're in with a serious shout there....

I think an overall 'Clan' well done should be the message of the day ...Hon Connacht!!!

Good result. Fought all the way.

Seem to be very guilty of nodding off at times and lacking a bit of go forward grunt for the business end of this table.

But really i think Scarlets scored at times way too easily.

But the building blocks are there.

Horrific refereeing. "I do not like RTE". Parks falling off tackles a lot. Good Fight back by lads fair play

Absolutely sickened by that refereeing decision. Another letter to Lam on the way more likely. Despite the obvious negative of the result Connacht were fantastic going forward in the second half, some beautiful offloading, smart passes, a shame about some of the knock ons but they made up for it. Also we've found our new centre for next season, can't wait to see Swifty at 13.

Connacht have been poor at the breakdown but Patterson got Scarlets out of jail on the last one.

Their loosehead is perpendicular to the scrum on the shove, but the officials aren't seeing it! We are raging in the Dail!

Has always been very quick to blow up any and all ruck situations. Its difficult but Connacht should be aware of this tendency by now.

Missed the first 30 minutes by ballsing up the clock situation in the gym, Connacht looking decent if a little flat in the last 10. Scrum could be a worry, can anyone tell me is it an individual issue or a systematic problem? Or just unlucky? I felt the last penalty against our scrum was a bit harsh.
