The Bookmakers have Edinburgh as firm favorites at Odds of 3/10 and Connacht are 5/2.

I get confident before almost every game even when I've no right to. All the same this is the sort of game that Conn need to be targeting based on past results and opposition selection. Negate laidlaw and that's half the battle imo.

He's injured, but yeah, he's our best finisher by a good bit.

Strongest team we've had all year. Would only stick in Harris-Wright, Wilko and Browne for our best starting 15. With some of Edinburgh's best players missing, we absolutely have to win this one.

I'm still pashed off Clarke allowed himself to be walked out of the way. Said nothing to the ref, said nothing to the Scarlets player. I'm really questioning whether he wants to be here.

Kearney looked the business at lock when he came on. Looks to have bulked up bigtime so that might rule out playing 6?

On mature recollection Muldowney wasn't completely awful at 6. His two aberrations were getting caught for one of the tries - though someone (Umm?) later pointed out the video absolves him - and having the ball rather embarrassingly ripped off him in the tackle. He did quite a good job of holding out wide to provide a bash-up when there was nothing on and ruck over tackled backs when there was.

Mystified by George's absence though, he was quite good when he came on last week.

With both Browne and Muldoon back from injury I guess it was too much a risk to start one and have the other on the bench, so Muldoon gets eased back in and Browne is left off. I'd rather Muldowney move to 4 and Kearney to 6, to be honest.

Agreed, Muldowney is not particularly strong either as a carrier or defensively. George is conspicuous by his absence from both lists.

Great to see Buckley back in the squad, hopefully he's learned his lesson.

George and Brownie missing from the unavailable/injured list? Whats the story there? Very strange if Muldowney's getting picked in the back row ahead of them.

Interesting selections, bit surprised that Muldowney is 6 again after reports from last week. The first 15 are strong but if what others said last week is true Muldowney will tire, but either he or kearney will have to play 80 despite lack of game time. Muldoon may have to come in at 8 rather than 6 depending on McKeon's fitness and the pace of the game in general. Probably be won or lost in the last 15 minutes.
