Indiscipline and poor decision making is what will lose us this game if we don't win it. Need to show composure in the 2nd half.

10-9 just on the last kick of the game. Happy enough all things considered but with 69% possession should be a bigger gap tbh. According to the welsh commentators the artifical pitch takes more energy out of the players so the bench will be crucial. Scrum has done pretty well so far.

No major announcement on our official drinking partner this week, so.

Agreed I watched the first half of Cardiff's game against Glasgow last night and their backrow made some serious gains around the rucks with their explosive pace and power. Copeland in particular was unreal. They did seem a bit more susceptible in the tight and I think we could make some in roads utilizing the driving maul which Glasgow targeted.

Patchell made a pen kick from just inside his own half (as did one of the Glasgow centres) he looks a real quality operator for such a young lad (20 i think).

I thought Cardiff were unlucky to be 12-6 down at half time and they did a good job of suffocating the glasgow midfield. It's going to be a tough game and the fact Paddypower* had us down at +8 last night underlines that even a bonus point is going to be hard to come by.

*50-1 for Nathan White to be first try scorer again if anyone fancies it.

Came on as sub at 13 against Exeter pre season, and in first few games in 2012/13 season.
We have good depth at 12. Mcsharry tonetti, Murphy Finn and Parata would all call 12 their best position. At 13 ? Griffin only. Griff is not being tried at 12, he's only making room for others to be tried at 13. I wonder if Schmidt has asked to see Henshaw at 13?

I'm trying not to read too much into Carr's exclusion and once the decision was made to start TOH it makes more sense to have Poolman on the bench since he can probably cover more of the backline. Still, a bit shocked by it. Excited to see how Henshaw gets on at centre, grand to see all the Connacht lads starting amongst the backs. Should be a good game.

I wouldn't be too worried about Carr, we have competition for places is all and we'll be able to keep players fresh with proper management. Yeah Carr scored last week, but then again, so did Healy.

He'll probably travel as 24th man anyway.

Does someone understand why Griff is inside and Hewshaw outside centre, and not the reverse?
