Can't see why it would be a privacy issue. Any time a player is out injured with concussion it's reported in the press.

The information is logged at a national union level, there apparently were moves to create a "concussion passport" but these got shelved due to privacy & freedom of movement issues and differing laws across different countries.

Loathe as I am to find merit in anything from El Franno, the whole Clarke affair does raise issues on what is and isn't disclosed when players move. There's only so far your own due dilligence as the new club can take you and tests can be inconclusive. Can anyone enlighten me what kind of documentation arises when a player is "officially" concussed and if there's anything recorded for "unofficial" concussions (on the training pitch, ones in competitive play that escape the offiicals attention)?

This is all quite topical given the settlements in the NFL and the history of burying studies and evidence over there. I'd hate to see a legal minefield developing in rugby due to players suffering serious health issues in their 40s and 50s.

Don't know if this is back to non-contact training or fully back but he had some tests done in Dublin last week.

Funny enough Rennie is quoted in another article as saying he had a "couple of bangs" with Taranaki which would be 5 in nz minimum plus whatever he's had here. I suspect one coach is overplaying this and one underplaying it.
