Manchester Town Hall

Connacht return to Greater Manchester to play Sale Sharks on March 29th at 19:45

Connacht are still in search of a first competitive win in England for nearly a decade after defeat in the pool stages in October.

When: Friday, March 29th, 19:45
Where: AJ Bell Stadium, Salford.

Tickets

Tickets are available here. Many of the Clan will be seated in sesction W03 so grab a ticket for there.

Getting there

Manchester is the obvious airport to go to, though some are going via East Midlands as you can fly direct from Knock. Birmingham is not too far away either by train.

There are good prices to be had for accomodation on Thursday night so it might work out as good value to fly on the last flight on Thursday, which is much cheaper than the Friday ones.

Accommodation

Plenty of accommodation options in Manchester. There is no particularly popular location for the Clan, we are fairly scattered.

Hospitality

Plenty of options around Manchester. Check the forum for some suggestions.

Castle in the Sky near the Trafford Centre is near where the free shuttles depart from if you are a bit early.

On matchday there are various bars at the ground including the legendary Sharquee.

Match Day Transport

Sharks run shuttle buses from the Trafford Centre. You can get there by public transport from various locations. Be warned that a few people had significnt delays on Manchester public transport at the last game. Allow plenty of time.

More travel information can be found on the Sale Sharks website: https://www.salesharks.com/fixtures-results/travel-plan/

Things to see

Plenty to see in Manchester. The Museum of Science and Industry is worth a look if you like industrial technology stuff and have a look at the Lowry if you like art.
