Thanks to all who came out for the Clan Table Quiz in the Dail recently. 

There was a great turnout, some tough questions and a nailbiting finish, but in the end Derek Gilligan, Paul Anglim, Frank Kane and Shane Moran took home the gold - as well as these very fetching Connacht Clan scarves (available from a shop near you soon!!)

Quizgoers were subjected to such headscratchers as 'Who is the current Connacht Male Senior Captain' (not Elvis, as one team thought) or what man made structure can be seen from space (trick question - none!). Stewards enquiries were held into the official language of Iran (Farsai) and the birth name of the lead singer of Queen (the question was right on the sheet, the MC butchered it!)

Our thanks firstly to the Dail Bar for being such great hosts and a huge support to the Clan over the last few years. Also to Dubarry, Rhino Rugby, Connacht Rugby and Biltong for providing assistance with the spot prizes. Special thanks to John Mulligan for doing the tough job of setting the questions!

All in all close to €1,000.00 was raised for Galway Simon. We're delighted to be able to help out worthy local causes.
