I know this thread is all about the Sportsground memories, but I want to pay special mention to the travelling fans in the Stoop.
It was my favourite moment by far.
We sang and sang and sang.
The Ireland soccer match was on at the same time, and the cries of Olé were fantastic. I even remember a fan giving out to us for all the olé's, reminding us we were at rugby, not soccer, and then Connacht scored a try,and the whole stand errupted into another rendition.

Worst memory of that game, was a Quins fan talking to me after the game. She asked me, "Where exactly is Connacht? Is it part of Dublin?"

2. Best individual performane from a Connacht player this season - john muldoon had a great season. best game was vs quins.

8. Biggest shock of the season - over 5000 vs aironi.
9. One change youd like to see for the Sportsground next season - more toilets. one or two better players
10. Strangest memory of the season - having chat with mul while him in a car some1 else driving. game starting with no ref vs leinster. eddie vs leo the lion race. joe smit shouting 'put strauss in the channel' a few time and everyone laughing at him
11. Have you bought you season ticket for next season - of coarse, and the girlfriends

We were at home against Cardiff, and someone from the Clan Stand kept shouting at the Cardiff bench.

TITO

He finally turned around, and the same fan shouted

"You're the worst of the Jackson 5."

The whold Clan stand started laughing, and so did Tito. Fair play to him

That would have been me. In fairness, he'd earned that yellow card three times over by that stage and I stand by my musical assessment.

1. Final whistle against Harlequins after many frustrating months.
2. JOC against Leinster, just for battling on to the final whistle despite a serious injury early in the game.
3. Toulouse until they won the kick off  Thought the atmosphere was actually good in a lot of run of the mill Rabo games
4. For me it was last Saturday for 60 minutes anyway. We were poor against Treviso but we dominated after giving them a 15 point lead just couldn't finish.
5. Connacht being awarded a penalty try against Toulouse after the scrum being in reverse all night
6. Big crowds and improved facilities
7. Missed the Ulster game, None stand out otherwise, maybe Aironi given their situation
8. Have to say the Rodney try too, not that he scored but that he held on to the ball when grounding it!
9. Easier access and egress from the Clan Terrace, its a great facility but its far too messy and dangerous at present. Need something to get the crowd into it in terms of atmosphere in some games.
10. Not standing soaked wet frozen for the rest of a game after a heavy shower early in the game.
11. Yes

1. Best memory of the season - the win against Ulster.
2. Best individual performance from a Connacht player this season - any of the backrow against Harlequins, Tonetti or Buckley against Ulster.
3. Best atmosphere this season - New Years game against Leinster.
4. Worst performance of the season - Treviso. Jayyyyyyy-sus.
5. Funniest memory of the season - The game kicking off against Leinster. Sans referee.
6. Biggest difference between last season and this season - The Clan Stand. We now have a stadium, and supporters (in numbers).
7. Best travelling support this season - Ulster. Always Ulster.
8. Biggest shock of the season - Ronan Loughney. From Wilko's loosehead backup to player of the season at tight head and the verge of international recognition.
9. One change you'd like to see for the Sportsground next season - This one's easy. Could the stadium announcer shut up already? Halfway through the fields is NOT when to start shouting about raffles. Or just lower the volume in the Clan Stand (the music's at a perfect volume, is he mating with the mic or something)?
10. Strangest memory of the season - Ticket touts outside the ground for the Toulouse game.
11. Have you bought you season ticket for next season - Yes.
