To be honest, leaving the ground I thought we'd definitely got the rub of the green (Healy's try looked wrong on a number of levels at the time) but looking back it doesn't seem that bad.
If it was the other way I'd probably be moaning about about it as well, that's just how it works. I had the misfortune to read a bit of the Wales Online comment section in the article that decries the "disgusting" decision. It is an almost entertaining mixture of outrage, conspiracy theory, self-loathing, racism and navel gazing, all interspersed with the occasional plea to cop the feck on (or whatever the Welsh for feck is).
Though of course, as always, the Blues fans knocking about Galway were gracious and all round sound.

All the coaching would emphasise ensuring the ball is grounded before any other part of your body hits the touch line. Stupid mistake from the winger is being excused by fussing over multiple replays of the footage. Not like they missed a Champions Cup Semi as a result of a mistake in the act of scoring. Take the Learnings.
It wasn't so much a stupid mistake as an absolute try saver from Marmion who smashed him to put him off balance and on the way to touch, unfortunately KOd himself in the process.
I'll be honest and admit I'd probably be annoyed if it happened to us, but to say it was the difference in the game is a huge stretch. Thought Connacht were the better team throughout, the fact we were never behind is a testament to that. There were refereeing decisions we probably would have been moaning about if we'd lost, and it's impossible to know exactly how the game would have played out if they'd scored anyway. They could have missed the conversion, or maybe the defence galvanise and they never score at 78-79' with the team taking the foot off a bit the closer the clock gets to 80 with 2 scores in it.

Really solid game all around. Bundee was a force to be reckoned with. Matt Healy was running solid all game. Tiernan was so composed. Blade had a fantastic game, well deserved and well worked try, he essentially played the full 80.
Pack bullied them all game. Boyle was great, Ultan smashed, the entire front row were fantastic.
As for the referring decision, seems to me that it was a fairly clear try. Pics floating around showing the ball grounded before the hand in touch. These things happen, I'm not loosing any sleep over it. Lots of annoyed Cardiff fans, and I can't begrudge them that. Look forward to the fixture next season!

It's not like the entire game hinged on that try decision, like if let's say the clock was a ridiculous amount of time in the red and the officials made several bad calls in a row which then ended up with the wrong team winning... Ahem... Short memories apparently.
