Yeah lads, I'm sure the second heaviest defeat in professional history is exactly what everyone in Leinster camp saw coming and didn't care about.

Some of those tries were filthy. Jacks little chip up to Tiernan was pure class.

They things that I took for this game was the amount of young leaders that stood up to be counted.
Shane, Gavin and Tom F were outstanding.
Followed by the old reliables like Toh, bucks, Mul etc
Eoin McKeon was carrying a knee injury from around the 15 min mark and was so impressive.
I cannot wait to see him and Copeland in the back row.
Shane Delahunt was terrific in open play.
(Few lines out did not go his way. The were on the far side of the pitch it could have been timing I could not see properly)
He was very intelligent the way he slowed down his pace and ran into space so his support could get there. And if he went into a challenge or contact. He went into it on his terms staying on his feet while making yardage buying more time ( Tom F is great at this too) I would love to see more players do this.
Especially Cannon he goes to ground far too early when he covers into contact.
The other thing I saw was handling errors were very low.
How many games could we have won this year if we could keep the ball in hand?
The defence was brilliant.
I was giving out about our back 3 missed tackles last year.
This year they have all stepped up to the plate.
Let's hope that this team performance is a template we can build on for next year. And why not?
The only thing stopping us playing consistently is changing 7 to 8 players every game.
Max is 4 to 5 a game IMO
Well done again boys
See you next year
Agree with all
Especially with Farrell/Delahunt aware of gaining extra time for support, this is massively important IMO
Shane moved from "not sure to be re-signed" to going to Japan for a poster

Was a classy touch by them and shows how highly John Muldoon is regarded by the Irish rugby fans.

Here's hoping a few good signings in addition to what we have and a small bit more luck might put us in a much better place next year.
Shane Delahunt could really be a bolter for Japan too if he sticks with us and keeps injury free.
A very positive ending to a terrible season.

Thornbury, Delahunt even TOH who didn't show on this season have proven to be very promising for next season.
Farrell's a gem in any game. Bundee is on RWC trajectory IMO. Carty's a very decent 10 1 game out of 2.
Bench, espacially McCabe/Dillane, looks ok
we don't have a great team but a very cohesive one on good days. It turned the best in 2016, why not in 2019

Bloody hell as I'm sure you've all seen the Mul tribute was posted today, and it left me wondering who was cutting onions. If the team doesn't raise the performance tomorrow then something is seriously wrong within the camp, our truest hero will don the green of Connacht for the last time; He'll lead out his band of oft forgotten warriors from the west and represent the Mayo, Sligo, Leitrim, Roscommon and Galway for the final time. If from 1-23 they aren't pumped then we need to starting looking under stones for more men like John, coz he's gonna be one hell of a tough nut to replace. I'm starting to get optimistic which will make all the harder if I have to be disappointed at 5 tomorrow.

That said. There must be a big game in them yet. Here’s hoping for the best.
