Heard rumors over the weekend that Pat has already been in touch with him about a coaching role.
Seems he's keen to get experience away from Connacht, but wants to come back after a few years. Makes sense to me

On the one hand he seemed to be getting rotated a bit more this season but really it seemed to suit him, I thought he could go another year if he wanted, but perhaps he wants to finish while he's still playing good rugby and isn't slowly pushed into being a bench option. Nothing I can say will be enough to sum up what he has done for Connacht, how much he's grown as a player and leader right up until this season.

I replied to his tweet, so not much else to say here that hasn't been said a million times over the last decade.
He's an indelible part of the Connacht Rugby genome, absolutely massive contribution as a player/leader...
Mul is a rugby player's; rugby player...

There'll be snot running out of my nose at the Leinster game naturally, and woe betide anyone who tells me to stop my snivelling ... B)

Not much to say while he's still playing. I'm sure closer to the end of the season, there will be much more talk.
Just hope he doesn't have to finish early due to injury or anything.

Very sad news, I was beginning to think he'd go for one more, but he's us given one hell of a ride and it's now his time to pass on the baton. He'll be hard replaced and we'll be losing our greatest leader but we can only be thankful we got him for so long. Here's to his future and hopefully it'll be one that still involves Connacht.

Honestly believe that if it wasn't for him and Eric Elwood there'd be no professional rugby side in Connacht.

He stuck with us through the darkest of times when it seemed like Connacht was inevitably going to die due to neglect.

Him staying sent out a signal at a crucial time and from there Connacht has grown and now has the base to hopefully push on in the future.

He's been an incredible warrior and not too many of those appearances were off the bench or 50/60 minute game.

The way he redefined himself under Pat Lam was inspirational and he deserved the Pro 12 for his efforts.

Hopefully this news will inspire our season to end on a high. There's a big gap to fill I'm the squad for next season.

All the best to him.
