Seems a few people predicted Dillane to do good things this season, and one person even mentioned Masterson
Another posted that we'd do the double over an Irish team - kudos to you
No one I think, expected us to finish in the top 4, nevermind 2nd
Lots of expectations for Carty as well.
One poor poster also thought Bundee could be our flop of the season (they did also say he could potentially be our player of the season)
No talk of Finlay at all.

We're unlucky in that, for me, the teams ahead of us are getting worse (but are still better than us....excluding Glasgow who look very strong next year) and the teams around us and immediately behind us are getting better. I don't see where the improvement will come from us over last year, and Edinburgh looked a much much better team in the second half of last season add in to the that a settled Scarlets team and a Cardiff team that just can't be that bad again and I think we will need to move forward just to stand still
[/b]
2. How far will Connacht go in the Amlin?
Lose an away semifinal.
3. Our player of the Season?
Buckley
4. Our flop of the Season?
.....ummmmm.........Aki if he continues his form from late last season, could be our player of the season if he continues his early season form
5. Biggest home crowd of the season (which opponent?)
Munster.
6. Which (if any) of our players will make the final 6Nations Squad?
Henshaw. Bolters of: Buckley and Masterson.
7. Shock of the season?
Edit: beating Leinster in Dublin.
For the league: I think Munster will struggle, as will Ulster until they replace Doak who is stealing a living
8. Top Points scorer of the season (Tries, and Total)?
Tries: Matt Healy. Points: Ronaldson
9. Biggest improvement of the season?
Dillane looks better every week
10. Biggest disappointment of the season?
Not being given the resources to push on with what is a really solid competitive squad. Put 2 players of real quality in there and we'd be troubling 5/6th. I'd expect continued player drain at the end of this season too we could see headliners such Marmion, Cooney and Henshaw go![]()
Long story short: it's good that I don't gamble as I would be rubbish at it
Only things I got right were Dillane as our most improved (Finlay could argue this) and the points and try scorers, I had Bundee as our flop ffs

2. How far will Connacht go in the Amlin? Lose Semi-Final
3. Our player of the Season? Quinn Roux
4. Our flop of the Season? I don't like this question but already Api Pewhairangi looks a likely candidate due to injury as much as anything
5. Biggest home crowd of the season (which opponent?) Munster
6. Which (if any) of our players will make the final 6Nations Squad? Henshaw, Marmion
7. Shock of the season? An away win in one of the interpros is long overdue
8. Top Points scorer of the season (Tries, and Total)? Healy Carty
9. Biggest improvement of the season? Eoghan Masterson
10. Biggest disappointment of the season? Left wondering what might have been after narrow misses in the league and Challenge Cup.

2. How far will Connacht go in the Amlin? Semi-Final
3. Our player of the Season? Buckley
4. Our flop of the Season? Looking like Api already given that he's injured into November
5. Biggest home crowd of the season (which opponent?) Ulster
6. Which (if any) of our players will make the final 6Nations Squad? Henshaw, White, Marmion with Buckley being cruelly ignored
7. Shock of the season? Leinster struggling to get above halfway in the table thanks to International commitments and Cullen's lack of experience. An injury crisis forces Leo to try a Roy of the Rovers job, which hastens his demise
8. Top Points scorer of the season (Tries, and Total)? Healy & Carty
9. Biggest improvement of the season? Dillane
10. Biggest disappointment of the season? Missing some Dan McFarland specials from set pieces

Hopefully sixth (greatly dependent on the first 7 games), but standing still may just be moving forward this season as AO said so more likely seventh
2. How far will Connacht go in the Amlin?
Semi-final
3. Our player of the Season?
Aly Muldowney
4. Our flop of the Season?
Ezra Taylor
5. Biggest home crowd of the season (which opponent?)
Hard to go against Munster, but a home Amlin Cup semi-final against the right English opposition or if a win against Glasgow the last day out has Champions Cup implications the Munster game could be pipped
6. Which (if any) of our players will make the final 6Nations Squad?
Henshaw, Marmion & Buckley.
7. Shock of the season?
An interpro home clean sweep
8. Top Points scorer of the season (Tries, and Total)?
Tries: McCartney Points: Ronaldson
9. Biggest improvement of the season?
McKeon
10. Biggest disappointment of the season?
Dip in attendance

Sorry
If it helps I don't think we're going to have a "bad" season. I expect us to be competitive in pretty much every game and to have plenty to shout about throughout the season

our first XV, let's say 23, has a top 6-5 potential. But if there's key injuries/international caps, we're quickly in trouble. Henshaw alone makes me worried, even if other teams we'll face have several absences. Ok there are guys miraclely stepping-in, Dillane should be one of them. But will Bealham, Parata/Robb, Marshall, C. McKeon, Heffernan be up to the level, as they should be involved at one time or another this season, and for some of them, right now?
