Another Post for Pinky's Delete Delete Delete List

Seapoint used a little humour in making a point that I believe a great many of us agree with.

IRFU notice the repayment of the loan they made to bulid Thomond White Elephant is approx €9m light.

Attempts to rectify the discrepancy like trying to extract the proverbial blood from the stone.

Connacht rugby look to the IRFU for financial aid to build their own Stadium.

IRFU reply oh no o no, we still can't sit down after the burning we got from Thomond, you're on your own boys.

Meanwhile Poverty stricken Munster, unable to repay the IRFU suddenly find a few quid down the back of the couch and sign two WC winning Boks on contracts worth somewhere north of €1m to €1.2m per year. That Part is extremely hard to digest

The Important question is where did Munster get the couch and could Connacht get one also.

"Champions aren’t made in gyms. Champions are made from something they have deep inside them: a desire, a dream, a vision. They have to have last-minute stamina, they have to be a little faster, they have to have the skill and the will. But the will must be stronger than the skill." Muhammad Ali

I'm 100% on Seapoint's side. It was a completely innocuous comment. Don't delete anything.

DeAllende is a decent player, not a superstar but a good player in a good South African side.Their strength is across the park rather than having a few scintillating players..

My point was that I wanted our lads to take some chunks out of him, to show that there's plenty of good enough Centre lining up for opportunities in the Irish system already (there are loads). They didn't need to import a big physical ball carrying centre on huge money, especially on a NIQ.

If we had managed to keep all our players on the park, would have been a fascinating battle (and even more so with new improved Bundee on the bench)...

Disappointed for Pap's, and really disappointed in Shane, the first was over enthusiasm rather than recklessness, you could see how keen he was for action. No excuse for the crazy high fend by Shanem, particularly after a red card a few minutes earlier.

The lads did well to get a couple of tries on the board, and keep the scoreline down below fifty...

Not going to say much about Frank, would just be happier to not see him ref us for a long while. He has issues reffing us, and I think he can ref far better than he shown in last two games...

Relax Buccsbill. He was only messing. This isn't twitter, you don't have to get outraged over nothing and condemn everyone for not being as woke as you.

Whatever about the disappointment of the red cards and indiscipline displayed yesterday, that can happen and overexuberance played a part.

On looking at this thread, I am disgusted at this comment by a regular contributor.

Sea point.

Would laugh my backside off if DeAllande gets a knock. Don't wish the man ill, ..

Also that it remained unchallenged...Pure asshole behaviour and something that certainly does not represent the view of any right thinking sports supporter.

They showed another angle of the first red at half time - straight red for me with no complaints. Obviously the second was merited, can't see much disagreement there. Thought that late hit on Blade deserved a yellow, and thought the first yellow they got could've come a few minutes sooner but equally no issues that weren't of our own making.

Obviously this was a game where there a huge power mismatch. A first choice Munster team against a fully rotated Connacht side was always going to go a certain way - and when we reduce ourselves down to 13 it gets much harder. That said, leaving our terrible discipline aside, the lads played very well given what they were up against. Oddly, both Delahunt and Papali'i were having stormers until they were shown off. Blade and Fitzgerald didn't have much of a chance to shine, but seemed solid.

Bundee was on a rampage, obviously. He's nailed on to start the Ireland games, has to be. He was everywhere.

Tiernan didn't look too pleased to be taken off early, but looks like he had gotten a knock and they were being safe?

Crazy game.

2 red cards were unfortunately merited I think. New 8 has great potential.

Well that was a strange game.
Second red card is stupidity of the highest order, throwing your team mates under the bus. Delahunt looked disappointed in himself and so he should be.

Abraham's.......harsh for me, didn't ever see contact with the head. Initial contact is his chest to Murray's shoulder, the impact rocks Murray's head back purely from the force. Didn't see any follow through with shoulder/arm to head, but as Andy said: go that high and you could be in strife.

Thought he was excellent for the few minutes he was on mind, big strip when defending and not many lads mince stander in contact like he did. Get the tackle height down and we could have a real weapon there.

Aside from that: Oliver and the pack in general showed up well, bundee certainly had his Wheaties this morning and thought blade and Arnold put in good shift.

Tough to judge much on that performance though.

Looking forward to this. Obviously it's a change from last weeks 23, but can totally see the merits in getting lads game time for the brief window that we can. Looking forward to having a proper cut at munster - some lads there that will be itching to put their hands up.
