I thought Robbie came of age in the Ireland jersey on Sunday. A phenomenal performance, summarized really well by Trevor Hogan on off the ball last night. Earlier in the podcast BOD also singled him out as our stand out performer.

I've always loved supporting Ireland, but for me it takes it to a new level when I see Connacht players featuring so prominently on days like we had Sunday. Hopefully there's another similar day ahead of us in the quarter final (without the injuries).

2 scrum penalties and nearly pushed them off their own ball

Well done :cheer:

It's in my contract that I get on telly for every France game. Poor coverage of me this time compared to Stade de France, so apologies to any of my fans who wanted to see more of me. I'll have a chat with my agent.

I think its only in a few years time we'll realise the impact that having the Connacht lads in the Irish squad is having for rugby in the province, in particular Robbie Henshaw. The amount of work he got through today was phenomenal. Carried a huge amount of ball, made for me what was the decisive break in the match when it was on a knife edge which eventually resulted in Kearney's try and as importantly with POC out cold and France going for the kill before half time, an absolutely crucial turnover.

Nathan White has shown coming on that he can keep the scrum in good nick. For years we have fretted over our tight head situation, Nathan White isn't a long term solution but at the moment is an important member of the squad to relieve the pressure on Mike Ross' shoulders.

For years the thought of a Connacht player being one of the key men on the Irish team was laughable, not any more and hopefully if Ireland can push on next weekend and get to the semi-final what it can do in terms of bringing young players to the game and opening everyone's eyes as to what can be achieved at Connacht is huge.

We'll have to see what state we are in injuries wise for next week in the coming days. After the last World Cup I think everyone is aware that winning the group means nothing if we don't win the quarter final and Argentina have been waiting for this since the loss to New Zealand on the opening weekend and have been racking up good wins playing good rugby.

Newstalk is reporting that Henshaw has returned to training. Would be great to see 2 Connacht players performing well in this wc.

If the rumours are true I'm delighted for Nathan White but gutted for Andrew Trimble.
I didn't expect Marmion to go, Cave is the obvious replacement for Robbie so his inclusion makes sense

He should never be behind Boss
On a Connacht perspective, do you think AhYou/Cooney J.P will be enough for 10 pro12 rounds?

From reports coming out, looks like white made the 31 man squad.
Well done for him, and Robbie

Poor KM, not only were we talking that someone had to get injured to get called to be 3rd scrum half, he know needs two scrum halfs to get injured to get the call as Ireland are only bringing Murray and reddan. Boss would be 3rd
