98 26 2 5 50 4 0
To sum up yes our 4 guys conceded only 3 turnovers against 5
BUT
they carried nearly the same amount of balls doing only a third of the distance accomplished by their counterparts = cruel lack of physical power
And they did half of the tackles of their counterparts, but still missing the double = Cruel lack of defensive efficiency

If we look closer to the stats, that's clearly the 2nd row / back row which failed against Exeter
| PLAYER | meters | carries | offloads | turnovers conceded | Tackles | Missed Tackles | Turnovers won |
| George Naoupu | 24 | 11 | 1 | 2 | 4 | 2 | 0 |
| Michael Swift | 0 | 2 | 0 | 0 | 7 | 1 | 0 |
| Michael Kearney | 5 | 5 | 0 | 0 | 6 | 2 | 0 |
| Andrew Browne | 3 | 4 | 0 | 1 | 9 | 2 | 0 |
| totalt | 32 | 22 | 1 | 3 | 26 | 7 | 0 |

We are a shadow of ourselves when Marmion is off the pitch IMO, he is absolutely vital to us in attack and defence. We would have gotten 2 points in Glasgow and beaten Cardiff if he had played/stayed on. Not going after an experienced backup like Stringer will cost us.

Not even remotely close to some of the shellackings we received under Bradley, I know of five or more fifty point plus beatings several I had the misfortune to attend.....
Agree in the finish but at the time I posted it sounded like Exeter could put 50-60 on us. I should have said that it was heading towards a Bradley like hammering.

We weren't bad but we must of knocked the ball on about 20 times.
During the week pat lam said his aim was ospreys and basically that's what the players did. Didn't seem bothered
Talking to Exeter fans after, they were very impressed with leader and niyi. They were surprised how well we put them under pressure for ever scrum and how well the lineout went.
Not to impressed with porter. "Your scrum half is crap".

Noep disagree, we beat ourselves today in the first half. Exeter were no more than efficient. If we could have held out for their third try at the end of the first half we could have really mounted a charge second half..,
Cant stress how badly we really missed Marmion today, this game showed up Porter's limitations completely. Two blocked clearances in our 22 in first 20mins and not one bteak in 60 minutes on the park despite plenty of gaps around the fringes. Not enough to just shovel cleann ball out wide every single time, got to mix it up and keep the defence honest. Way too lateral with much of the possession....

Yes but its the 5-0 result against us that tips the balance of the pool towards Exeter and could prove the difference between winning the pool and getting a home quarter final and finishing in 2nd and getting a tough away quarter final or miss out on the quarter final altogether.
