Looking at our injured list, I've never seen such a balanced team. I'm going to inaugurate a new competition called the European Sick Bed Cup, to be contested between injured players of all teams.

Our starting line-up is:

1. Ronan Loughney
2. Jason Harris-Wright
3. Nathan White
4. Mick Kearney
5. Quinn Roux
6. Mata Fifita
7. Willie Faloon
8. Jake Heenan
9. Kieran Marmion
10. Craig Ronaldson
11. Danie Poolman
12. Dave McSharry
13. Conor Finn
14. Darragh Leader
15. Mils Muliaina

16. Sean Henry

We even have a replacement hooker in case Jason suffers a match-ending recovery during the game.
If you are having a slow Friday, try and find an injured list that can match it. Winner gets a pint of Real Ale in Kingsholm.

thankfully munster don't offer a huge amount in attack with their backs so on the face of it these injuries are not as bad as they first seem
This one is going to be all about how well our forwards perform. I think we can manage our backrow with the players we have at least for this game.

Also bundee and henshaw will be back for the Ulster game so it could be a lot worse.

I'd hoped the days of us struggling to put out a team were behind us but there you go. 10-12-13 looks like Carty-Ronaldson-Poolman, 2 outhalves and a winger, hardly ideal.

Very few decisions to be made: which of Roux and Kearney, George and Masterson, Marmion and Cooney, Carr and Leader to start and which to bench, which of Heffernan and Delahunt is sub hooker, that's it.

I'd take a losing bonus point or an Edinburgh win right now to keep us in 6th a fortnight longer.

Latest injury update is not good reading

Heenan- gone for season with shoulder injury (though they stress he does not need surgery just rehab and will be ready for preseason)

Faloon- gone for season (dislocated his shoulder again....pity he won't get a proper send off  )

McSharry - knee injury late last week, out of munster game extent of injury to be determined

Niyi - Minor injury, probably won't feature

Bundee- Still rehabing, won't feature this week but "progress has been made"

White- out for "ongoing lumbar spine issues"....now I'm no brain scientist but that doesn't sound good  Going to a specialist in the coming days

Marmion and McKeon back :)

had shoulder operated on a few years back. wonder if its same one. Bundee has headed back to nz for recuperation.

It's his left shoulder judging from match photos on inpho.ie.
Hope Bundee
comes back soon!

Same injury as Jake... At least he won't be frustrated to sit behind Heenan! The young N-Z will have to play 10 games in a row, not impossible as he's fit and fresh

Jake would be a great player to get back soon. We were caught out earlier in the season with our lack of a natural 7. Yes Faloon has been back for the last 4-5 games but Jake is a few steps ahead quality wise.
I hope he stays fit as his a class act.

Yeah, it's a crucial period in the schedule and Connacht need to gobble up as many points as possible. You certainly do not want to risk rushing him back, but you can't mollycoddle him and hold him out unnecessarily of the Scarlets game.

He won't be involved in a game with the senior side until the Scarlets' game 15 Feb at the earliest so that's a few more weeks. Though it would be a real tough pill to swallow if he were to get injured in an Eagles or AIL game. I'm going to assume the training staff are conscious to the amount of time Jake has been out since he has arrived here and are not rushing him back in any way.

Tiernan O’Halloran and Jake Heenan will play for Connacht Eagles against Germany on Saturday after recovering from long-term injuries, while Nathan White is available for first team selection after he came through his first game back with the Eagles last week.
