Superstar scrum-half also picks up Young Player of the Year award
Connacht Clan members have overwhelmingly voted Connacht scrum-half Kieran Marmion as this season's Player of the Year. The 22 year old has also picked up the Young Player of the Year award and is the first player to win both awards in a single year.
Kieran has kicked on from his spectacular breakthrough season last year (when he jointly received the Young Player of the Year award) and has set the bar even higher this season, where yet again he has not missed a single game, despite being in hospital the day before the game against Toulouse. His confidence and consistently assured performances from behind the pack have been of huge importance to Connacht this year. Whether he is darting across the whitewash to score tries or tackling opposition backrows to a standstill, the poll results show how widely he is appreciated by the Connacht supporters and we congratulate him on his incredible season.
