Hi folks

Travelling over for the Glasgow game- any recommendations for dinner on Friday night and breakfast/ brunch on Sunday morning (getting the 1pm train back to Dublin)? Nowhere too upmarket/ fancy (i.e. expensive!)

Please and Thank You.

The Huntsman for breakfast on Sunday morning is hard to beat. Only 5 mins down the road from the Connacht Hotel.

Dough bros do seriously good pizza and McDonaghs for a quality fish and chip. 56 central and Dela do good brunch (little bit hipstery, but not unbearable). They are all central to shop street. Enjoy the game (not too much :-p)

If you're in town the Dail Bar (see link at top of page) are right in the middle of Galway and do great food at very reasonable prices, check out the steak deal

Excellent fish restaurant in Kirwan's Lane just off the main street.
Seafood Bar at Kirwan's.

Not cheap but very high quality. Best in Galway.
Best fish 'n chips my wife has ever had including Crab Shak and Old Salty in Glasgow.
Much posher stuff on menu though.
The place was a treat (see what I did there).

I'd be in there Friday night but am unfortunately stuck in Glasgow watching the game on box.
'Mon Warriors!
