They're a bit vague about when the bus bookings will be open, but I'm guessing given the weekend that in it that we're probably looking at Tuesday at this stage? But since they haven't said anything about limited tickets I'm assuming they're taking all comers so no panic ...

Maybe in theory this is designed to encourage mingling between opposing fans and promote a wonderful sense of camaraderie, but like, you can do that in the bar
Anyway enough complaining from me. I'm in the West Terrace, will prob need to get in early enough to stake out some territory. Hope everyone gets sorted ...
Would recommend being on the West Terrace 45 minutes - 1 hour before KO to get a decent spot. We always have the naive fools who think they can get a prime spot 5 minutes before KO etc.

Someone will deliver beer to me during this hour, right?

In the normal run of things at Ravenhill you need to be at least 30mins early to get anywhere near the halfway in the terrace. Definitely be there earlier.

West Terrace good access to bars underneath the Grandstand. Queues will also start to build maybe 45 minutes before, so multiple purchases required!

The ground should open at least 90 mins before KO, probably 2 hours for this game. They may show the 1st game on the tv in the bars etc. If wanting to go to the pub pre-game, Pavilion and Errigle Bars both on Ormeau Road, walking distance to ground. I like the Pavilion, can book a table, decent food. Errigle more just for pints, can get bunged before a game like this. Alternatively if you want to support a rugby club - Malone RFC on the Cregagh Road is a decent club, also walking distance to the ground. Think they do pizzas etc, so covered for food. All 3 should be showing the 1st game. Malone are in the 1A/1B playoffs, but will be away from home if they make the final I believe.

Nice one. 10.30 departure is ideal. Up in time to watch the other game and build up a bit of craic. My ticket says this for the way back:
Depart:20:30 Arrive:20:30
which means they are using one of their new teleporting buses. That will be handy.

Wont it be magical when we beat Ulster (A), followed by Munster (A), followed by Leinster in the final to win the whole thing

Assuming that's 20:30 on Saturday, of course.

Good point. A 24 hour bus trip would be good craic too. We'd make a fortune on the reality TV rights.

The Connacht Rugby website says there may be demand for a Castlebar-Sligo-Belfast route but no option to purchase for it, does anybody know when they will announce if that is the case and do we purchase a ticket and then if a bus from Sligo becomes available we're covered for that.

There is a form on the website article to register interest. I assume you fill that in and see what happens.
It does say "All tickets must be pre-booked and we will notify you when available" though, which is a bit confusing. Maybe filling in the form constitutes a booking? That said there is no place to fill in contact details, unless there is another page to the form ...

Ya I filled in the bit about other journeys, the line with all tickets need to be pre-booked confused me too, but I put that down to mean you can't show up on the day and hope to hop on the bus, I don't want to pay for a bus from Galway and then be told I need to buy one from Sligo if it becomes available. I'll play it by ear, I'll be in Belfast one way or another so I'll not get too stressed

Basically what Pinky said, if there's interest in a trip from not-Galway, we'll let ye know.
