Hi, im taking 3 others from Leeds over to this game. No date yet but Sky Sports are scheduling it for Saturday 4th March (I want to show them what real rugby looks like )
A few questions if I may
[] Is the Hospitality package worth it ?
[] Where is the best place to park within walking distace of the showgrounds ?
[] Will be having a few pints before the game. Where are the best Connacht pubs? (Im the desigbated driver so YUK ! ?
[] Where is the best place to sit ?
[] Any idea when the tickets will go on sale.
Thanks Y'all

Never did it, but probably not really. Big advantage is you get a ticket for the Clan Terrace, which are hard to come by otherwise.Connacht_in_leeds wrote: Hi, im taking 3 others from Leeds over to this game. I think the Showgrounds is in Sligo. Best go to the Sportsground[] Where is the best place to park within walking distace of the showgrounds ?

No brainer there. Murty Rabbitt's![] Will be having a few pints before the game. Where are the best Connacht pubs? (Im the desigbated driver so YUK ! ?
We don't go in too much for fancy sitting around these parts. Grant Thornton Stand is the only place you can actually sit. Decent chance you might get tickets for the main stand terrace for Zebre, but often only the behind goal terraces are available.[] Where is the best place to sit ?
I would guess shortly after Christmas. Keep an eye on tickets.ie tickets.ie/events.aspx/artist/connacht-rugby/112543[] Any idea when the tickets will go on sale.

Ciaran,
For what its worth, remember the weather in March is likely to be miserable. I brought an Australian friend to a match in Jan a few years ago and he turned up in a denim jacket, wasn't well for a week afterwards. He still physically shivers when I mention the sportsground.
Stay warm and dry and you'll have a blast! Best to over do it on the layers, and rain gear is a must!
Hope you and your friends enjoy your trip to the Sportsground

If you're travelling from Leeds, Galway weather in March should be fine for you.
Certainly nowhere near as cold as Yorkshire in late winter/early spring, but there is some minor damp to contend with...

Decent waterproof jacket/outer layer and a beanie to hand and you'll be fine.....
